    Plucking feathers

+1 using the Paraffin, My family has been using it for years for waterfowl, turkey, even yard bird. We would strain it when done and get 3 or 4 uses out of it. It'll start to stink after awhile so beware.

    Rage Slip-cams

Ive shot 2 deer with the G5 montecs, both shots were decent hits, not in the heart but the deer should have expired within a reasonable amount of time. Needless to say I spent the remaining time of two hunts tracking wounded deer, Im talking a few days, not hours. I just dont think they perform as well as others. Sucks cause they shot great in my set up.

    Rage Slip-cams

Thanks for all the input. I was wondering if people were having issues with them as far as blade deployment during spot and stalk hunting. It doesnt seem like the blades are held closed very well. Ive been shooting the G5 montec for a couple years now and have lost faith in them. Everyone I talk to says try the rage so I figured Id give them a shot.

    unit 7 mule deer

Its been a few years since Ive hunted 7, we used to glass deer and elk off of Deadman mesa, but we almost always tagged out way up high on the north side of the San Fransiscos well away from any roads.

    Tough Hunt

The area in 4a Im helping my buddy hunt the bulls are kickin off from well after dark until around 9 am. We're just bugling to locate the bulls, there not coming to bugles or cow calls. We have actually spooked off nice bulls trying to close the distance with calls. It has taken a few days to dial it in. Good Luck. P.S. I cant stand lazy hunters. I've seen hunters on quads/rhinos road hunting on roads that have been closed for 20+ years!
