Warning to all men before going Christmas shopping
Tucson John replied to IHunt2live's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Whew! Thanks for the warning! Don't want to go there. I'm headed for the shinny, sparkly expensive store! -
How is that even possible? Amanda, can you shed some light? I just don't understand, did the antler grow together on top, or grow in a circle and implant itself back into the skull? So confused?!!! Either way, that is really COOL and unique!

Congratulations Buddy! She's a beaut!

Yeah interesting article............thanks for posting it. I've heard the wolfs howl at night at my cabin near Greens Peak, and I'll be packing every time I go out now.

That really sucks! :(

How did he taste Casey?
-
Well............I'm not eating yote or cat, no matter how good Casey says they are! What I will do is blast their butt every chance I get. If you have ever seen coyotes tearing an antelope fawn out of the womb of the mother, and devouring it before it could ever hit the ground, well I think all your reservations about killing these vermin will leave you! It's not like you are going to put a dent in the population, heck government programs to eradicate them didn't work. TJ

I concur.

Tucson John replied to biggelkhunter's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Wow smart gal that wife of yours! Thank you, and thank her for me, I enjoyed her optimistic perspective. Its kind of like what my Mom said, "no matter what happens, (with the election), God has a plan. -

Wow! Good eye Amanda! -
OK........so I let one dark comment get under my skin and opened my BIG DUMB mouth! Please accept my humblest apology. TJ

I was actually looking at your quad, until I saw your rude reply, now you can keep it at an price! There are plenty of good buys out there without having to buy from a jerk like you. Go back to LA or wherever you are from.

hunters that steal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tucson John replied to marlin's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
How do you know they were hunters? That's the key right there................Hunters are not thieves, and thieves are not hunters! Pond scum would be a better description! -
That is so awesome Ron! You are a lucky man! You have a beautiful family and it's so nice to see you all together enjoying a hunt. Great story and pictures, Congratulations to you all! TJ
-
That is Hilarious! Casey, if your dog needs a home after your untimely demise I'll help you out and take him! Oh yeah, your gun collection also!

Stanley, I think you may have missed my point. I agree with you that "catch" is not the best term. I was just saying it's a good idea to not alienate people who made the effort to strike up a conversation. If you are polite and don't try to correct them, you might just win over an anti, or someone who is curious and never had the opportunity, and we (as hunters) need all the support we can get. TJ
-
"dang, thats one heck of a reponse there! I dont think it can be said any better than that... Although, I would politely correct them.. "You catch when you fish, you harvest when you hunt." Thank you Casey! I like your polite correction. The more people we win over the better it is for the future of hunting. I've stopped and changed flat tires for anti's, (in full camo) and won them over, at least temporarily, with compassion. All they need is one good example sometimes to start thinking maybe we aren't so bad after all! Rock on Brother! TJ

Wow that really Sucks! Did you call and tell them they are poisoning people? TJ

Hey Yotebuster, welcome to Arizona and CWT! I don't know much about Javi or Coues in 6a, other than they are there. I do most of my hunting for those critters farther south. I lived in Whitefish for several years and miss Montana. I'll most likely take you up on your offer for advice in the future. In the meantime hang tight and I'm sure someone with more 6A experience will chime in shortly. TJ

I always look at this as an opportunity to foster good relations with nice folks who are non hunters, but are curious. These nice people made the effort to ask and to strike up a conversation, so I do not try to correct them, I just smile, try to make them feel comfortable, and show them whatever is is I "caught". I would never want to offend or alienate them. We (as Hunters) need all the support we can get! just my 2 cents TJ
