Any one been out chasing coyotes? I ve heard they are running wild out at seven mile.

Just a lil warning for those of you who may be purchasing bullets in the near future...... PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS! Last night i was on my way home from my parents house in Globe, and decided to make a quick stop at the Sportsmans Warehouse in what would be my last chance to get supplies for my elk hunt this week end . I needed bullets for my 300 weatherby mag, and ended up also picking up a new pack. Well i made i there an hour before closing, checked out the packs, picked my favorite and headed to the bullets. I was in total shock to find that a box of federal 180 gr. 300 wthby mags were going for $64. thats only 20 rounds! they had 220 round nose for 40, but i was already sighted in for that load. So just beaware, and shop around if you have time. I unfortunately have to get a ton of school work, and do alot of studying for upcoming finals before the hunt and didnt have that chance. As i now sit here in the library at ASU, i see that the 5 minutes I spent writing this could have been used to make a trip to bass pro.... time management is what its all about! I saw 3 boxes of Wby 300 mag brand 180 gr at cabelas last week. 27.00.... yes that is right! Looks like im going to Cabelas!!!! and GO DEVILS!!!!!

I have an up coming Elk hunt, and im all set and confident in my Weatherby 300 mag cartridges. But heres where my problems arise, my dad asked me to pick him up a box of shells. So i got to thinking, Whats the best brand to try out for this elk hunt remington corelock, Wincesters? theres alot of choices out there. Do any of you have a prefered pick. By the way he will be shooting his trusty ol 30-06. that might be important. And I asked him what he wanted and he threw it all back on me.

Ive been uo once, and i need to get up there Alot more! I drive a silver 03 silverado. But more then likely we will be in my dads 06 white silverado with a marcanti electric sticker on the side.

I got drawn for bull and i cant wait. Ive been waiting for this hunt forever it seems. I recently moved from globe to chandler for college and i really need some time out in the woods if you know what i mean. Im just so excited i needed to vent a little. Good luck on your upcoming hunts.

Whats the weirdest thing or animal you have come upon while hunting or out scouting? I thought about this while reading the form and hearing someone metion the white turkeys in 23. To this day that is one of the strangest thing ive seen, but im still young. Anyone see albino deer of something to that nature. Post pics if you got em'. Just thought it would be interesting to go off on a tangent and hear some stories. Mark

Did you guys see the story they just aired about an archery hunter North of Flag shooting a bull elk in some ones back yard? There was a no hunting sign, but there wasnt a no treaspassing sign. If that makes any differance. I personally dont think it does. Whats your View on the whole situation.

They are every where!! A freind of mine was driving from payson to globe last night, and he said he saw 9 in the middle of the road during the trip. Nothing makes me run faster then an unexpected rattle. I could be a track star if they had a rattler at every race!

The pinal mountains by globe is a good area, but they are usually packed! other then that, i cant give you any thing else

I Guess it was about a month or so ago my dad and I were camping and fishing up at hurricane lake in the White Mountains. We woke up every morning to bugling bulls. It was great to hear them even tho we knew we will never get to hunt them. Inless of course we find an extra $30,000 or so laying around to go on a WMAT Elk hunt!

These pictures look very familiar, or atleast the scenery does. It looks alot like 24A, and if its the place im thinking of its quite a hike up there. You can see for miles up there. You can even see roosevelt.

Well folks it looks like im going to be spending alot of time in unit 23 this year. I not only have A 23 bull tag, I also now have a 23 Whitetail tag. How can one man get so lucky? I have no idea. But im going to make the best of it because theres not a very good chance of this happening again anytime soon! Best of luck to all of you.

I just bought a bout and in looking for an imboard engine. either a chevy 454 or an oldsmobile 455. Any one have any idea where i can find a good one around az. A rebuilt one. or even one that needs a lil work. i need something to do in the off season. thanks alot, mark

I got a 1975 sea ray. 21 Ft. The owner before me had a 455 olds in it but he took it to the shop to get rebuilt and it was stolen. And it is very hard to find a 455 olds. a local guy around here has a little boat shop and he said he has one sitting in his yard, but talking to him he dosent really seem to want to get rid of it. hes kind of beating around the bush. Its going to hard finding one. especially with out a core. But i picked up the boat really cheap and its very clean. new paint and interior and all that good stuff. only $700 i figured the trailer alone is worth half that. But i figure im looking at around 2500 to get it out on roosevelt. I'm a long time boater and very, very few boats run Aluminum blocks. Most run MARINE versions of traditional V8s. Hunter07 what boat did you pick up? Your best be is going to be a crate marine engine or a salvaged engine. Marine engines are quite different than standard car/truck engines. Everything is coated to prevent corrosion, marine carb, flame arrestor, marine rated starter, alternator, electronics, dist. Basically everything has to meet USCG standards. The carb (Unless FI) is plated and has the bowl vents turned down into the carb openings so when your floats or fuel valve stick wide open the excess gas pumps into the engine not the bilge. Fill the bilge with gas and you are sitting on a big bowl of gas vapor aka a bomb. Sadly, your best bet, if you need a big block, is the 454 (I'm an Olds freak). Cheaper to build and easier to find. Olds 455s get a bit expensive to build and few know how to do it right. 455s are mostly seen in jet and v-drive inboard race boats. Since you are in Globe you might be able to find a used marine 454 around the lakes or in Phoenix. Later, Matt

I absolutely love my new rifle. After shooting a 30-06 my whole life. I can definately tell the difference in accuray. It only took me 5 shots to get the rifle zeroed at 100yds. That was the first 5 shots i had ever taken with that rifle, and i had just mounted the scope on my own the night before. And it was only 2 more shots on top of that to get zero at 300. then after that i was shooting half dollar groups of 3. Any where i wanted to on the target. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANY OTHER CALIBER.!!!! AWSOME
