    Sleeping bag

I bought Tetons form sportsman's warehouse. +rated to 0 - the rule of thumb is whatever the bag is rated at +20 degrees for comfort is the actual temperature. I have had mine down into single digits and have been fine though + on sale at sportsman's in the add right now +ive slept under the stars in mine... with my big baby of an English pointer. He slept in the foot of my sleeping bag (he doesn't like the cold) and I slept in it with my four legged space heater. was plenty of space. Theyre twin bed sized (just the normal sleeping bag), but they will zip together. Ive had mine for 10 years or better. the only thing I had to do recently was wax the zippers every few trips

    Poor Pitiful Hikers

They should amend the rescue to be like the "stupid motorist" law.... if you knowingly drive into a flooded wash and get stuck, you pay for the rescue... could be the same for hiking... if they show up and you're standing there in sandals, just know youre gonna pay. ha ha

    Blood from a turnip lol

Yeah... we bought me a new pickup, and the wifes car... plus the travel trailer and the pop-up. its like "double down" though, especially on the little pop up... haven't used the pop up but once in the past year.... and now I have to pay a fee, even though its hooked to my truck that pays the same fee???

    Tonot NF travel BS

the problem isn't "US"... its "THEM".... the go faster crowd... And I don't mean to lump all utv riders together by any means. My buddy has one for hunting...he's not in the "faster" group. The perfect example of this is, we were in 23 for turkey this past weekend... Driving out from lunch in mid afternoon... my brother said "oh there's a razor behind us".... we were courteous, we found a spot and pulled over... they passed us and proclaimed "7 more".... well, we creeped up to a shady spot. the 7 wound up being 12... and everyone of them where treating that little forest road like it was a Baja race... sliding the small bends and jumping the small bumps in the down hill slope. Sure, do they have the right to be out there? absolutely... but do they foster the same stewardship for the trails and environment...nope; its "skinny pedal on the right" mentality. And its not just SxS (although theyre the most predominant)... I almost had a guy in a jeep wipe me out taking the kids up to four peaks once, because he was "having fun in his machine" There's no way to change the mentality of the general public. (wasn't it less than a year ago, that jack wagon went over the edge of the rim from going to fast?) ... Ban the machines, or close the trails... Laws and rules aren't there for the few of us that know a closed area sign isn't the place to be, or that a burmed road isn't open.... Unfortunately though, its those of us that know what the rules are, and suffer the lack of access

    Need trailer wiring adapter

you can't "delete" wires going from the trailer to the vehicle... only vehicle to the trailer. truck 7> trailer 4, is the only thing they make. to go from truck4> trailer 7.... it doesn't exist unless you make it yourself the idea is a 7 pin will have trailer brakes wired into it. you can make/buy the fitting and just land the four wires for the lights, but its viewed as Improperly connecting or _omitting- safety features

    Young Road Condition, any snow

that's a bummer, no offense to your travel plans.... was hoping it would stay cold and frozen for a few more weeks. ha ha... we got unit 23 turkey tags as well. We had them last year too, and it sucked, they were done after about 10 minutes in the morning.

when I bought my 2018 2500, the salesman told me they were rolling the new body style out for the 15's in 2019... but he said the new body style wouldn't be available for the HD's until 2020

What size tire did you have on them? Any issues with rubbing? Any lift on the truck or anything else like that? Why the reverting back to stock? (Sorry, kinda uneducated about the +/- offset trying to gain knowledge so I can use it to sway my lady ha ha)

New 1/2 Ton - What would you pick?

I grew up with fords, but then switched to dodge. I had a 2001 that I put 270k on it, before the rear end went out... Only thing I ever really had to do was a water pump somewhere in the middle. it wasn't anything special, 2wd ext cab... when the rear end went out the book value and the rear end were the same price... so upgraded into a 2006 4 door (met a girl with two kids) and 4x4. put 70k on it before my lady decided it was time for me to upgrade.... (truck was still going strong at 160k). (again, lost the water pump on this one , but that was my only issue on it as well) got my 2018 2500 with a cummins. ------ As in other truck threads I've mentioned... if you're buying new, get a Costco membership, then go through Costco motors. Basically they send you to the nearest participating dealership for the brand you're looking for. we bought her car, and then my truck through it. its amazing

Half ton to diesel and Ford vs Chevy

So I too recently made the jump. ( I had a thread that was a few pages long in may/june). I went from a 1/2ton to 3/4 diesel (both dodges). A brand new high-end rifle, fresh out of the box doesn't make a person an expert hunter. As demonstrated in the video above, a $60,000 4x4 doesn't mean the kid knows what the heck he's doing. ha ha. There's definitely a difference between a half ton, and a 3/4ton truck when out in the woods. The main thing is gravity.... diesels weigh more than even the same size truck with a gas engine. My last day of dove turned into "where does this go" ... and that's when I learned what would be just a loose gravel road in a jeep or truck, had my new truck sliding in a couple different directions. (nothing like the video, but visions of castrations flashed in my mind, if I put a dent in our brand new truck. ha ha). MY dodge is "new outa the box" with a factory off road package, and it rides smoother than my inlaws "plain jane" identical truck. I like dodges, this is my 3rd dodge (first diesel). I drove the first one into the ground, then upgraded to a 4x4, I didn't have plans on selling that one, but the wife wanted me to have something newer (because she could upgrade from a popup---yeah, it was expensive last year). The Def tank sits lower on chevy, id be afraid of poking a hole in it in rough country. We have a ford service body at work and it gets crap for fuel economy. I run about 40-50 miles a day, and I average around 19mpg. I haven't found anything I don't like about it, after 14000 miles. How are you buying it? We started looking at used, but the rams we did find were almost as much as the new ones. Look into Costco. You can go through Costco to buy almost any make or model. We've done it the first time on the wifes Cherokee; and then last summer on my truck. They show you the factory invoice, they give you 30% off all the factory installed items, and I think it was 50% off all the factory installed stuff. I bought the tradesman, which is what one would expect for the fleet style truck. It's the base model, but found one that had a carpet, offroad package, upgraded sound (back up camera) package, and an upgraded chrome package. Wound up being everything I wanted... without the price of a Laramie

I was going to suggest Move as well. I'm looking at them as soon as the budget allows for it (by budget, I mena wife..ha ha).. anyways. I know a guy in gilbert that would be willing to weld it up... also been looking at amazon (yeah, they have everything)....
