Personally after the increases in all of the tags for next year, I think that they should put the whole game commission in the wolf habitat(naked and covered with steak sauce) and see how long MH DUTCH SALMON can coexist with the wolves that he got along so well with in Minnesota!!!! AG

So I am heading out to 23 for some rest relaxation and hopefully whitetail buck shooting with my kids! Been out several times and have seen some decent bucks and hopefully will find them today or tomorrow so my kids will have an exciting hunt on Sat. I would really like to see them drill a couple as this is their first hunt(and I promised my son I would take him to WY antelope hunting next year if he does not kill anything !! ) Good luck to everyone else, and I will be driving a grey on grey cummins with a headache rack and camping in a kit trailer if anyone is in my neck of the woods!! ag

ouch, that is a huge difference in the number of roads!! It is worrisome as they may decide that they closed those roads and later on they may want to close more. What was the reasoning behind closing the roads? ag

Well all I killed was time! We saw several deer but all the bucks we saw were spikes. Too bad it wasnt AZ, my kids could have taken some shots. I did however see and hear several wolves I wonder if they are affecting the deer herds there, I only heard 4 shots the entire hunt, last year we heard that opening morning. I did see some lion tracks that were fresh(over mine!! ) that may have screwed things up a little, but I had been seeing shooter bucks where I had been scouting and where I hunted. Oh well there is always next year I guess. Oh and I saw a large black bear on my way home and of course he was in private property! All in all it was great to be out and enjoy the outdoors with my kids on their first hunt. AG

My uncle has videotape one of his friends shot in IL of two deer locked together and still fighting to get away. He shot the larger of the two and they had to cut the antlers off of the other to save it. Was a cool video, had the archery kill shot on it as well. AG

congrats to all you guys, sounds like you worked hard and it paid off. There is nothing better than sitting a tank and having some elk action finally and then hearing some moron on a 4 wheeler come driving up the road and spook them off. Hey if you want to hunt from your 4 wheeler knock yourself out, but dont be a horses patoot and drive up to tanks in the evening or early morning. I almost got popped by a fat piece of crap on a 4 wheeler one year during the NM muzzleloader hunt, and he was not on the road, he was out cross countrying it and stopped near where I was glassing, so of course I got up to tell him what I thought of him and promptly tripped out from behind the tree I was glassing from and out in to his view and as I was trying to keep from munching it, I heard him cock his muzzleloader. Luckily he wasnt as stupid as I thought he was because he didn't cap me off , but it was close, I had to use a come along to get my underwear out of my butt crack. Hey if you want to road patrol knock yourself out but be cool about it. Awesome though, hunting from a 4 wheeler on a bow hunt, that should work great Has anyone heard if younghunter killed a bull, I think he had a tag for 7. ag

I am getting rid of the good old stock tires (FINALLY ) of my 05 cummins, The hunting trips and fishing trips to the black have stripped all the rubber off of the sidewalls and the nylon is showing through I am getting a leveling kit put on and new shocks, will probably go with the Big O xt's as I have them on my Green 76 Ford and they are awesome. Just wondering what you guys are running and how they hold up for you. I have run BFG AT and MT and the MT were by far the best out of those 2, the big o XT are 10 ply so they hold up real well and the new BFG AT XO or KO (I cant remember those two letters) can be ordered in 10 ply as well. I have not really run anything else so interested in your opinions. I dont think anyone holds a candle to the big o warranty though, so that is why the Big O xt's are going on my Dodge. AG

So I was reading about the plan to reintroduce wild river otters back into the Gila river in the wilderness area. Our esteemed commissioner MH DUTCH SALMON had this to say" this should be very beneficial for the Gila as the River Otter will prey on the non native species such as bass and channel cat(that we all fish for in the GILA) and allow the native species to recover" Ok so since when do we train river otters what is a native fish and what is not? Those otters, when they are introduced, are going to view all fish species as FOOD!!!. Now isnt this the gila river that just had a large amount of its tributaries restricted for recovery of the Gila trout? What in the HE-- is going to stop those otters from multiplying and going where they want through the gila ecosystem? Leave it to our esteemed game and fish to finally get sustainable trout populations and then reintroduce the otter! Now dont get me wrong, Otters in the wild are one of the mosts awesome animals to watch, and I am glad they are reintroducing them. But my concern is what is going to happen when those morons realize that the otters are eating native and nonnative fish species? They will probably kill the otters and close the streams feeding in to the Gila again. I really think these ding dongs do crap like this just to make sure they have job security. Oh and the comment above from Dutch Salmon really does not surprise me, I would like to see the look on his face when he cant figure out whey the otters are eating the native fishes a well!! Ok, enough venting. I sure wish I ran the game and fish!! Then I would at least know how to reach the moron running the dept!! ag
