    hunter harassment law

They want you to be confrontational with them so they can record you and even better if you fling one in their direction. I read a story in outdoor life years ago and there was a hunting group in Idaho I believe, and the antis had made life miserable for them the previous year so they had one guy go in opening day and all the anti's followed him , well he hiked them into the wilderness 8 miles and then camped! , they had nothing to wear or sleep in and the morning came and he hiked back out, but his buddies were all out that morning and they had one huge deer drive with the first guy and the antis on the way out, they killed more deer that morning than they had for several years if I remember right, all thanks to the antis deer drive to get back to their cars after a long night. Make it work against them and they quit doing it. AG
  2. Well I guess the oryx are safe from me next year since I did not draw out on either on range or off range for oryx , I hope this is not the trend for the next years draws! good luck to everyone else. AG
  3. I feel a Hallmark moment coming on! They should make a card "DAD, You took me hunting and were patient when I made too much noise, when I talked to loud, when I stepped in my own pooh and you had to scrape it out of my hunting boot with your skinning knife, when I peed right by our blind, when I dropped your rifle out of the truck on the scope, when I missed the 6pt bull elk 5 times(from 50 yards), when I left the lion dog tied to the bumper of the truck and remembered when you were going 55 mph, when I rolled down the hill and you had to go home early to visit the ER with me, when I was looking at the rack on your 118 in whitetail rack and accidentally let it drop on a rock and broke off the left side, Dad, those were good times, Dad I love you! Seriously, hunting with my kids is my favorite thing in the whole world, we dont see alot cuz they like to make noise but I would not trade it for the world!!! AG

  5. So who is anxiously awaiting March 10th to find out if they are hunting ORYX, I put in for on and off range in hopes of increasing my chances of getting drawn. good luck to everyone who is holding their breath for tags. AG
  6. So my son has been bugging me to let him play the computer, So I let him try the maze , I think it will be awhile before he asks me to play again because he just about soiled his wranglers, I told him to make sure to get real close so he can do better in the narrow parts of the maze AG
  7. Thanks alot, I had to go get the snow shovel out to clean the mess off of my seat, hope it comes out of my chair.

With the new tag and license it should only cost you around $300, that is pocket change for a university freshman isnt it Especially in Flag with the rent you will be paying unless you live in a dorm? HMM choices half a month of housing and food or deer tag? I guess you're set if you have a tent, makes that decision easy ag

    new scope?

: It sure is nice to know that there is someone else who has the same problem with their scopes, do they make vibration dampeners for those things?

    new scope?

Leupold vari x III is the best for your money, get the adjustable 4.5-14, you can use that for just about anything. Outdoor life did a study awhile back rating the best scopes you might try to find that as well. All I remember is that they considered the Zeiss overpriced for what you get. If you cant afford leupold try Burris, I have a few of each and have never had any trouble with them. Except when I am shooting at game, for some reason I always miss and they make me shake really bad, must be the weight of the scopes AG

Better check the hunting regulations on the website, because even though you are in school for 6 months you still have an out of state drivers license so I don't think you will qualify for a resident tag. When I was in med school in Iowa you just had to carry your student ID and you could purchase everything at the resident price, AZ is to screwed up to have something fair like that in its regulations I'm sure. I grew up in Flag and spent many a day perusing the hunting regs and do not recall ever seeing the above policy. You should love NAU though it is a great school, some of the best people I know graduated from there! AG

  13. All right , I bought a pair of 10 x 42 fujinons CD last year and absolutely love them, however, hearing all of you guys talk, now I need a new pair of swaro 10x 42 el or the leica 10x's, my question is which would you buy and why? I am leaning toward the swaro's just because I hear they have excellent customer service and I just plain like the way the EL's look. Thanks guys(and gals), AG

    swaro vs leica

Brett, Those were the glasses you had up there in Round valley when you were sighting in that muzzleloader with the sweet scope weren't they? Those were pretty nice if I remember right. Had any trouble with customer service with those babies? I just do not want to worry about spending that much money and then have trouble with customer service. Thanks for all the other replies, still have not decided. AG

    swaro vs leica

I am going to get whatever I end up getting from Cabela's, have some gift certificates and the cabelas reward card, that is a bittersweet thing though, I never thought that I would encourage my wife to spend my money! AG
  16. That arrow is probably in the outer layer of his vitals, if it is in a lung it probably is keeping him from exchanging oxygen well and that will cause failure to thrive (skinny bony appearance) kind of the same appearance you see with someone who has emphysema bad. It had to have pierced his diaphram so he is at least no getting good contractility of his upper chest. That sucks, the anti's would love to get ahold of that pic. AG

yeah, but what greater premise is there to get your wife to go along with getting a loan to buy hunting tags! " Honey we are going to make a hunting video and we have to have the tags, It is a business expense baby!" I need to try that on my wife! AG

  21. Great first it was a$$holes pushing porn and now its jerks trying to sell us drugs, It is a real shame that we cant keep them from posting there garbage here. To bad they don't have anything better to do with their time. Probably some jerk who changes tires once a week and then surfs the internet and ruins peoples sites the rest of the time. They should break all of their fingers so they can't use a keyboard AG

    i figured it out!

Casey, I think the sheer size of your deer's antlers was what threw you off, nice try at a cover up though ag

    my dec 24a hunt

How does tbev prove that Amanda was on private property and not state trust land? did he have any GPS coordinates? If the land was not properly posted then it was not posted period. The only way that anyone could fault Amanda for hunting on private property is if she crossed a posted gate or fence. Read the regs, any of us could have walked across that property if there is no posting on it and hunted anywhere we wanted! She had the decency to at least get permission to cross the land to hunt the public access. tbev and the other new knot head make a big deal about us losing the ability to hunt that land and it sounds like it was already lost and the guy who owned the property just did not post it yet. Why worry about it, tbev, sounds like if what you are saying is true the opportunity to hunt the ranch would already have been lost since they were all opposed to Amanda hunting there, I am sure that nobody else would have been able to hunt there either! Oh yeah except for you, How did you get permission. Seems to me that you are crucifying Amanda and being this holier than thou person about trespassing when all you really seem to want is a large area of land to hunt by yourself with no one hiking in to mess up your hunt! Maybe I will put in for 24 a next year and you could write about the bald fat guy that scared all the deer out of the unit with his heavy panting from being out of shape and hiking in! I would never cross posted land that is APPROPRIATELY posted, we are expected to follow the regs to a tee, and so are the land owners, for them to not allow trespassing and then fail to post their land, that is like us going hunting and failing to buy a hunting license. Amanda I am behind you all the way on this one Oh and new2coues, next time I see you out anywhere on state land with a private easement I will be sure to tell you that I represent the landowner and you are not welcome on that land! the only way I would leave is if the landowner came out and told me to, no one else out there hunting has any right to do that even if they have permission, that is solely the land owner's responsibility or his land manager! Think about that! Where I hunt in the chiricauhas there is a private easement and I use it and if I met another hunter in there and he told me the landowner wanted me off I would tell him where to stuff his bipod!
