  1. Have the box, regular carry case and neoprene cover. I've had it a couple years, carried it a lot of miles and only pulled it out of my pack a couple times. I can post pics but all they will show is a pristine scope, I take care of my gear. $1200

    Interesting Big Game Ranch?

great place to learn game care, give someone a chance to get their feet wet before public land hunting, squeezing the trigger is the easy part, then the work begins I taught Hunter Ed for about 13 years, lot of parents came in with their kids where the kid wanted to hunt but the parent had no clue what to do beyond the shooting, had quite a few single mothers and sons, this would be good for them to learn the ropes not everyone grew up with the hunting tradition passed down through the generations

    Camp Showers

buy a stainless steel weed sprayer and change the hose out for a longer one. You can fill with water and heat on the stove, pump it up for pressure, then throw the hose over a limb and have a nice shower, and pump up the pressure as needed.

  9. It has a broken window on drivers side, but the glass on the other 3 sides is good so you could use this for parts or do a hillbilly fix with plywood or plexiglass & silicone on the busted window. That is what I was going to do until I ran into a deal. anyway if you want it come get it, it will save me $50 dump fee the back hatch lock/key system works too

  12. I see all sorts of 6.5's coming out, 6.5 creedmore, 6.5x284, etc. Other than rifle weight because of a short action why should I choose a short action over the first American 6.5, the .264winmag? By my reasoning, because I can get more powder in the case, I can hot-rod a 264 if I want or back off a little and still have 100 to 200 fps velocity over a short action round. Right? Wrong? And for those of you that have one, what reload recipe does your 264 like the best?

    Memorable Shots

hunting on the Wind River Rez in Wy by Burris, my Dad was enrolled Shoshone, I was 6, we kicked up a big buck and he took off, my Dad says "I know where he went, get in the Jeep". We drove around and came up on what we called The Big Draw, belly crawled up to the edge and peeked around sagebrush, Dad says "there he is, roll over and rest your rifle on this sagebrush", so I rolled over butt first into a cactus and let out a holler, Dad pulled my pants down, picked a couple cactus needles then said "let's shoot that deer, these aren't going anywhere". So I settle down, aimed between the eyes and boom, down he went, hit him in the neck just below the chin with a .244rem. Then Dad got the rest of the needles out of my but and we went and took care of the deer. Thinking back it was a really good 4x, biggest I took for a lot of years afterwards. No idea what happened to the antlers, they were given away to someone, those days we cared about the meat not the horns.

  16. it's not hard to do, I've used a $100 grinder and $25 book for 18 years, saved a lot of money and since you're doing it you can make your chorizo as lean or greasy as you want it, just add more fat, most butcher's in the grocery stores will save it for you buy Bruce Aidell's Complete Sausage Book and follow the recipe(s) the first time or two, then modify to suit your taste
