Thanks for all the replies I got on this post. Yesterday, I scouted for my sons junior hunt, and killed a pair of pintails on a stock tank. This morning with the help of scooter, I found a covey of scalies and shot 5 birds. My dog retrieved every one, then we packed up and headed home. I left about 12-15 birds in that covey for scooter. It was a great time, as all of you that hunt behind a good dog know! One of the most memorable hunts I've ever had, and thank all of you who replied or sent PM's.. Special thanks to scooter, and I still want to shoot with you sometime!!

My daughter had her second elk tag in 4 years. We hunted hard on the first hunt but never filled her tag. This year was different. 150 yards with a .270 and her first elk was on the ground. Congratulations Cheyenne. You made me a very proud dad!!!!

Just a heads up.... I once stashed a few gallon jugs of water part way in to where we were going to backpack to. Stashed them the first 2 days of hunt, then we packed all the way in on sunday. When I got to where I stashed water jugs, I noticed mice had chewed through water jugs, emptying them of water..... Had to hike all the way back out and get more water, before going all the way in...... Tie them up in a tree or in a bush. Had mice chew anything that is chewable overnight .......... derstroyed my zippered swaro case.

I have a .410 bore shotshell reloader that hasnt reloaded more than 1 box of shells. Also included are hundreds of plastic wads, powder, and #6 shot. Enough to load hundreds of shells. i dont have any use for it as I had to sell my .410. There are also several different shot and powder bars and dies to load 2 1/2" and 3" shells. Asking $150 for all of it. Contact Jim at 602-509-6357

I am a taxidermist and know Jim hartsock personally. He has given my pointers and taught me some things over the years. He is a great guy and one of the best taxidermists we have in this state. Those are great looking mounts and congrats!
