Most of the game I tag occurs when I am alone, but my Glock .40 keeps me company on such adventures! The one time that I forgot to bring it along, I had a hard time sleeping at night and truly felt alone.

Never would have thought of someone doing that just to spite another! Sounds just as outrageous as the "insurance bull" practice someone mentioned in an elk post! CRAZY and misguided!!!

bear hunting dangerous?

Like AZLance suggested, anyone who has done any substantial calling for bears will tell you dangerous stories of bears charging them or slipping in behind them and scaring the daylights out of them at close quarters! I rarely feel safe while calling bear, but that risk is what keeps me coming back for more! Respect the speed, power, and stealth of this apex predator! ...and keep a powerful pistol at your side! -

Sam, very interesting. It is not musky at all? I am curious about brown bear meat. Seems like most Alaskans shy away from eating brown bear, while black bear is certainly a favorite staple. Any insight on the lack of eating brownies?
