  1. I'm having a rifle built from Kyle from Craigs Custom Rifles right now. Went with a proof carbon barrel, defiance rebel action, mcmillan stock. I was gonna go with a lone Peak Fuzion ti but after talking with Kyle i went with the rebel. He had nothing bad to say about Lone Peak at all but had talked about other titanium actions out there and some of the problems over time.

If I have time prior to shooting (which I have in all instances except one), I lay my stuff out for a follow up shot (powder, sabot, rod, primer, etc).

Now I shoot a bolt action with primer, but with my Thompson Center and Omega, I had a primer get stuck and make it difficult for a follow up.  I always ensure I have a primer removal tool ready.

I have a small bag with speed loaders and everything needed to clean the ML (just in case).

These are my favorite speed loaders, a little pricy.

I also use the cedar mtn quick loaders. This set up to me has been ideal to reload powder.

  3. Had a traeger pro 34. Was nice when it worked but like others does not sear. I had to replace auger twice and pull it and steel wool it constantly. After awhile would never get to high temp. So now have a louisiana grill which is the high end by pit boss. It gets hotter and has a grate you can move to sear. I like the auger in this one as it is set higher and drops pellets into burning pot with out any bind up or back log unlike my old traeger. Now my louisiana kept turning off into my cooks. Called louisiana and they sent me a new circut board and have had no problems since. Customer service on traeger and louisiana both were great to deal with.

I bet I have heard at least 30 people say they put that muzzy hunt as a 5th choice just to be sure they get a tag. I have done the same thing for the last 10 years. I hope it still has leftovers but I wouldn't be shocked if there aren't any.

Yeah im seeing this as well and fear that many more have done same thing.

  6. I have had a tc for years and it has been great. This year i bought the cva paramount htr in 40 cal. I really like it alot. Groups well and is fast and accurate. I have shot it out to 500 yards. It is proven to shoot further but my max is 500 even with my rifles. I use triple 7 and pyrodex ellets both in my tc and This one i only use blackhorn and very happy with it.
