Old story about the 1962 Kcraft flat bottom. One early Dec. about 20 years ago ,Me and my 2 fishing buddies do our annual fall trip to the White Mtn's. Well we were a week to late and Sunrise was frozen. But not enough to walk on, maybee 1-2 ". So We get a bright idea to tie a 100 foot rope we had to boulder on shore and push the flat bottom boat across the ice as far as we could,close to 100 feet. We used a shovel to push against the ice. This way if the ice gave way we were in a boat. It worked. Caught several Trout. As it got dark we got the lantern out and kept on fishing. By now We were feeling pretty good too as we allways took a bottle of schnabbs to go along with the beer. Good and bad. As the nite went on and You had to use the john ,we stepped out on the ice aways and went. Luckily no one fell thru. And one buddy was big too, 6-5 and a little bulky. Ive actually got pics of this trip from the ice. I will have to dig em out and post em. We had a lot of fun in that old 12 ft flat bottom. What is good about them is You can pick em up yourself and slide it in a truck. The good old days. If You like to fish 1-3 guys its a good little boat. When I sold My cabin in Vernon in 96 ,I left it there .Dont' know if its still alive. The old 62 Kcraft..Thanks for reading......BOB!

72 here in Minot N. Dakota. but in the winter it is -30 plus wind many -40 to -60 wind chill days. I can't wait to get outa here. In the early 70' When I played If You was good You was Ok anywhere. I didn't play college ball, But barely passed High School and still could have played. They didn't care back then. I know some pretty dumb guys that played college and pros. Thats like the SEC in football. Guys can't read the diploma they get. I could go on all day about the old days. Just old Farts now. At 5-10 I could dunk a softball, but hands couldn't palm a basketball. Young guys keep at it. I still miss the game and wish I would of continued playing. Back then most inner city kids had no parent support. Now days there is allmost to much.............BOB!

The small Rebel brand Crawdad does well any where for trout. Up here they don't sell em. I found some at wallyworld in Casper Antelope hunting. No power bait up here either. Weird place.Can't wait to try Crawdad. Maybee tomm.. I used to have an old 1962 Kcraft 12 ft alluminun flat bottom a buddy gave me for free. Every spring we would take silicone and caulk the leaks. Caught lotsa big fish with it in White Mtns............BOB!

Nice video. Nice fish. Up here in Dakota thats all they fish for is Walleye. Tournaments everywhere. Great tasting fish. The few times I been out I catch a bunch of northerns. Every lake has em and huge too. Up here they are all slimey is that so down there. No one fishes trout here, I did find a little lake that has some real good size ones. Once again thanks for sharing. I had one 30-06 all my life with a leoupold. vx2 at long range did alot of guessing. I figured one more gun for the rest of my life at 58. I had allways been into hunting but not into guns or shooting. My rifle is a Tikka synthetic stock 300 win mag with the above mentioned Vortex Viper. I generally kept shots under 375 yards. With this new gun and scope I want to be able to reach out 500-600 yards for My Elk hunt if needed. Hopefully won't have to shoot that far on an early Bull hunt. But if You seen a pig across a canyon You couldn't get to ,I wanna be able to kill from there. Next question is what bullet for this gun and elk hunt would You guys use. I wanna start shooting and not wait to late. I do have a harris bi-pod. Thanks for all the help Guys...........BOB!
