I am currently up here in North Dakota working. There is more jobs than people. You can make 100k a year driving tanker trucks hauling water in the oilfield. If I learned it any one can after 33 years of landscaping in the valley. They need mechanics, welders laborers any type of job will train You. The real prblem is housing and extreme cold. We have people from at least 30 states working for us, as there is nothing that pays any where in the US. right now. You can live in a man camp or bring a camper and eventually You can find housing. I got lucky and found a house thru some buddies that were already up here from AZ. Got the the whole family here now and things are going gerat in My new career. Thanks and good luck. Bullseye, Its to bad all these folks on here that think they know so much won't help a fellow hunter out. It's not like they have this tag and You are going to kill there elk, as they are very limited as You know. This is a great site and Amanda is a great host, but this is the last place I whould ask for help on a great hunt like You have. I am like You , as I have read this site daily for 8 years or so and rarely post. It's like most sites ,if Ya aint one of the groupy's no one will help. You have one of the best tags in the country and I whould spend all the time You could out there leading up to the hunt if You know it and figure it out yourself. I am sitting on 17 points for elk,and when I draw, i will Spend a week or more before the hunt and stay there if I can't afford any help. You may not draw a great hunt here for another 20 years. Put all the resources You can in to it. Maybee some one will give some tips or help, but just get after it. You have to put work and family aside for 2 weeks or so if You want a great bull and don't have an outfitter helping You. And they are not a gaurantee either. Coach, a good amount of them catron boys are Methheads and don't know what they are doing. The hillbilly senators are just getting paid off by the outfitters. Why can't anyone over there figure that out. They are just buying votes and are gonna hurt that state financially in the long run. I use to own land there and glad I don't any more. Gave enough $ to that state and they aint gettin no more. They don't realize what nr's brought. learn the hard way. Hope the residents all enjoy all the cow tags.....BOB!

Sorry Guy's for ruffling Your feathers. Really didn't mean too. Just a really frustrated hunter who is tired of the borders not being secured to the point that we are not safe hunting in our own country. It seems like Your hands probably are tied by the feds and the administration. I thinks most of them do their jobs , just aint enough of Ya. I respect what You Guy's do and i whouldn't want to do it. You are puttin Your life on the line every day. I can tell You one thing, there aint enough of You guys and half that are down there are either lazy or scared. Il'l tell you what, If You get hired and wanna know where they are at , come with me to unit 36b and 36c. I for the life of Me don't know how or why there isn't BP. out in the foothils (they don't even have to get on a mtn.) Most of the wets go thru flats and washes and way more make it than get caught. Seems like BP won't walk , they mostly drive and lean on their vehicle lookin thru binos. Iv'e waved at them lookin at me thru the bino's. I always see them first too. The wets aint on the hillsides where they are lookin.(I think they are scouting for deer.) Get in the washes You dummies. Or did nappy give You orders not to go there, it isn't safe. Good luck. Greg Koons is one of the best out there and most folks don't know who He is. He is very humble and doesn't brag or have a website, but has all the knoledge . Congrats on a great sheep and I only have 18 points . Hope I don't wait as long as You to get that tag. The old Guys in this buss. know their stuff and the units, the younger guides have the dreams and the estregen to do it But I would trust an old bull any day. A month ago I looked at the cats sched. when they were ranked 9'th in the country and thought they could loose 4 in a row at the end and looks like I was rite. Go devils! Them kitty cats have always choked in big games that could vault them higher in my 33 years watchin this rivalry..ASU 38 ua31 ...BOB!

If they didn't have as many tags most of You Guys whould be bitching about not gettin drawn. I had a leftover tag in 36b and only saw 1 group of other hunters . Hike in aways and You can get away from people in most units. I am 54 and I bet I hiked more in 3 days than 85% of You guys. I think more Guys are hunting 31-32-33 as they dont want to hunt the border units. Had no problem. Have You heard of any hunters being killed in recent years down south? I can't recall any. Maybee go south next year. And Me and My buddy did kill. You gotta adapt. Game & fish aint gonna change squat....BOB!

Not that it's a bad thing , we all need$ but looks like this is turning into a comercial site rather than a hunting site. Great Bull. Thats the kind Your supposed to take on an early rifle tag, unless You have never killed a bull before. Seen alotta people waste early rifle tags on dinks. To each his own I guess. You definately shot a keeper. I got 16 bonus points and when I finally get that early rifle tag I whould be verry happy with what You got. Of course a 400 whould be nice but they dont grow on trees like some think they do. What unit did You kill in? Congrats again....BOB!

You shoot the 380 if you aint located no unbroken 400's. You wait and some one else will find your 380 and then you will be sick. if you aint ever shot a bull over 350 you better take the 380. sounds like her husband wants to make the decission, as if it was his tag. Is she a reel hunter or has he just put her in all these years knowing some day she will draw a early bull tag. Either way hope she wacks a big one. good luck...BOB!

More tags sounds good as does dec. but with dec. I bet more folks will put in so odds wont be any better in long run. Ive hunted all over 23 and have seen a good amount of coues from north to south in this unit. always thought they could have more tags . I am a nonres. and have always drawn mully tags .maybee now I can score a coues tag. thanks for the info,,,,,BOB!
