My friend owns an FFL. He told me last week wait times are around 30……

Yeah the freezer brand new was less expensive than a large rotomolded cooler.

I plan on just bone in quartering. I have a walk in cooler at home, so Im not looking to freeze it…. When I get home I let it hang and dry age in cooler for 2 weeks. Easier to hang in cooler when it’s kept in quarters 👍🏻

I’m trying something new this fall. Since I likely need more freezer space anyway (3 hunts this fall and I just split a beef) I bought a 10 cu ft chest freezer that I plan on taking to camp and using a generator to keep meat cool until I get home and leaving the coolers at home. Is anyone else doing this and is it effective?

10/09/2018. Life was good. -

I’ll take a bully and mean tweets if I get zero wars, $2.50 gas, energy independence, 401k doubled. My biggest gripe with DJT was the covid stimulus and Operation Warp Speed. Not good!
With that said, I think we are all screwed either way.

I'm considering retiring and starting a new career. For those who know me, you know I've spent the last 20 years in law enforcement. Over the past 4 years, I've been in a senior management role, supervising a team of over 200 staff members. I'm exploring my options to see what types of jobs are available. I've often been told that I would make a great salesman, so I'm considering a career in sales or another management-style role. If you know of a company looking to hire a highly motivated individual with excellent decision-making and communication skills, I would greatly appreciate any leads.

hate to ask on a public forum, but are you leaving the job and forgo the DROP? I’ve been there… I was ready to leave the moment I was eligible but I have 15 months in DROP and time is flying. Lots of economic uncertainty ahead. You should seriously consider sticking around 5 more years.
Whatever you decide, good luck!!!

i’m tired of people and governments telling me I can’t do things or that we should ban perfectly harmless, legal things. idgaf. i’m sick of it.

Grandpa wouldn't take his truck out in the woods but doesn't mind cruising out in the razr which leads to hundreds if not thousands of more people in the forest. Their tires spin out way more than a truck and cause washboards much quicker. You don't see guys in trucks doing donuts in the middle of a main forest road but it's a common occurrence with atvs and sxs. You dont see a train of 40 trucks going on an expedition but it’s common to see it with sxs's. Forest service needs to designate atv and sxs trails or areas and make them trailer them out there and they can destroy those areas as they please.
Well you don’t own the forest sooooo…
I love having a SxS and am a responsible operator.
