VERY DISAPPOINTED AND RATHER DISGUSTED
AzHuntingAddict replied to Shooter McGavin's topic in The Campfire
For Mr. former butcher or whatever; How do you know you are getting the deer you dropped off to the butcher? If a freezer is full of deer, is there not a chance you might get someone elses poorly dressed out deer meat? Maybe your right, sh1t butcher in, sh1t butcher out! -
"Thanks for ordering stickers!" Anytime PETA pals!!!! Ha Ha

Thats it, I am no longer taking little smokie sausages with me hunting. Yuck!
-
Wow, what a bunch of losers. I guess they have a right of opinion, but you throw objects at me like they have in their "tools" section, and I might throw something back! How do you annoy the hippie tree huggers? Take away their LL Bean catalogs.

Looking for wing eyecups for Minox 15x58
AzHuntingAddict replied to JVS's topic in Optics and tripods
I got a set from the deer association dinner with a raffle ticket that seem to fit any binocular. They are a stretchy rubber that slips over the bino eye cups and seem like they would fit just about any bino set. They are made by field optics research. Below is a pic of what they look like. -
Remington Screwing Me
AzHuntingAddict replied to gauchoand's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
200$ and you get to keep the gun?!?! Get the Remington stimulus package and get your self something nice while you take your gun out next time. If you think about it, this is their way of getting out of a huge lawsuit. Its up to you if you want to shoot it again, just be safe. -
Unit 33 Monster Buck
AzHuntingAddict replied to AzHuntingAddict's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
You know I am stoked to just have had the great adventure out hunting for these amazing deer. I will admit a monster would have been cool to show for my first deer, but just bringing one home to fill the freezer is cool enough for me. Congrats to bringing home your first deer! I cant wait till next year. -
Ha ha, gotcha! First buck for me, meat in the freezer and a fun time with the in-laws. Cant wait till next year.

Unit 33 Monster Buck
AzHuntingAddict replied to AzHuntingAddict's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I was on cloud nine until my brother in-law strolled up with a real monster. I snapped this pic for a comparison, and all I can say is there are no words that can describe how I feel. -
Unit 33 Monster Buck

After last year coming home to tag soup, this was a nice treat. The first Coues only adds to the addiction. -

Good luck this weekend! Look for the fat dude hicking the hills, thats me. -
Mucenex-d works for me to get the crud out. Its that gufiesion whatever stuff. I also use the zicam nasal swabs and it cuts the duration down by half. Good ole dayquil also helps keep the symptoms down and managable. I have heard that honey and lemon juice help with the sore throat if you have that.

Friday cant come fast enough! I am feeling pretty useless and wish I had taken more time off to get going.

I dont think this was the case. I think it was a sober reminder that we carry an image when we hunt and shoot, and with a forum sticker on our rigs it makes us look like idiots when we do stupid things. The public see this sticker on a truck and assume ALL its members act like this. I dont think it matters what site you affiliate with, if your going to support a group by having the forum logo up, dont shame it!

Unit 33 Bucks
AzHuntingAddict replied to Rangecon's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Hmmm, could all be the same, along with the ones we spotted. Found tons of does all over the place too. 8 days and counting....... -
Depends on the unit I guess. Its gonna be warm were we are headed to next week. Too bad.
-
I will be up there for the oct 21 hunt, and am not looking forward to the mass population. 33 seems to be the cash cow for the game and fish dept since its close to the valley, both tucson and phoenix. I like the idea of heading up later in the week.

new to area 33.. new to AZ
AzHuntingAddict replied to northtoalaska's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I knew it would be a mad house due to the tags! but i have been up scouting almost every weekend and have not seen a single other sole! i took a rough road that took me over a hour to get within hiking range of a area i thought would be good. see a lot of does and deer sign and no sign of people! so i figure this may be a good area! less hunting pressure means More deer!! at least i hope! you wont find me any where near a road or other people opening morning! AS to the camping thing!! i have not heard about the 300 feet from a road!! i have heard the no less the "x"? from water holes! but not from the road! let me know for sure cause that may throw a kink in my plans! Here is where I saw the mention of the 300 feet in the dispersed camping legend of the map. Seems like many of the trails and roads have the restriction. Coronado National Forest Trail Map -

DesertBull is right, 700 tags for this hunt. Its going to get crazy with all the people trying to hunt in this unit. We were out scouting a few weekends ago and saw loads of others scouting. I would suggest getting off the roads and trails and hike like others on the forum have said. You will see alot of "roadies", but dont be one of them. Last I looked into it, you can only camp 300 feet from the road in most of the area, is anyone else aware of this or has better intel? -

How long are you glassing an area? What time or times of day are you out and about? The areas you have mentioned have loads of deer. My first scouting trip to 33 was a let down, but I didnt spend alot of time staying in one spot. The coues deer are masters of hiding and moving out of an area. I have found that getting a nice foam pad or small camp chair makes the glassing better. Do you have a decent pair of binos? -
This is a smokin deal, I paid 500$ for my xd 9mm.

Spent the Labor Day weekend scouting for the upcomming fall hunt. Found some nice bucks, and lots of does. Question is, with a few springs, tanks and seemingly good food source, will these bucks stay near the area? Reading from the Coues biology section, 1 to 2 square miles is what they tend to stay by, any imput? Here is a scope shot from this weekend.

Watchout for the hippie pan bangers over there. Good times watching the anti-hunters "alerting" the wildlife.
