I was able to get small pistol primers, but only after being told they were sold out and then watching them bring out some to a "select" customer it seemed. They then stashed them under the counter. Was able to ask another employee, then told them were to find them. I was not out to buy the entire stock but only wanted a single box. Have to be pushy I suppose to get what you need.

Nadda, as I spent the last rifle hunt in that unit over Thanksgiving. Saw about 40 to 50 does over the hunt with only 2 small bucks way off in the distance the last day.

Same issue with file size.

This is a great thread. I agree trying another brand or type of projectile to see if this isolates the issue more. Kind of interesting that the dynamics change from 100 yards to 200 yards.....what was the caliber your shooting, 7mm?

What about the other factors such as wind, time between shots, temp etc. Do you weigh your components, and is there a big difference?

I saw 3 go out while we were on the hunt. All were spikes or small forks. All were on opening day in the queen valley area. Very congested area with loads of hunters and offroaders. I had a buck in sights but could not make it happen as it was close to a road with traffic. Didnt see squat for 8 solid days but does, and whitetails running with the mule does. Trash hunt rings in my ears. Needless to say, I put out some milage on my boots and got to see some nasty country, but had a blast.

What kind of case lube are you using? I got rid of the stuck cases by using the sizing wax instead of the lube greese stuff.

dang thats a nice jeep! If the economy was doing better I would have it in my driveway. Bump for a great hunting rig.

Head to the nearest water source to that one you were at like Amanda said. I bet they will avoid the one you were at for a day or two. Keep an eye out for other factors like other hunters in the area, that may have spooked them too.

I had the same issue with the laser on mine. I just removed the bolt and eye sighted thru the bore at 25 yards and hit paper. There is a free printable bore sight target you can use as well. http://www.about-shooting.com/Boresight_Targets.php

I have a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40 BDC scope that has 60 moa total travel adjustability. I am using a weaver 20 moa base and weaver rings mounted to my .308 rifle. I am having some problems getting the additional moa from the base. It seems that I am in the middle of the scope adjustability without getting any extra from the base. I decided to go with a 20 moa base to get a bit more out of my scope, but seem to be where I should have been from the beginning. Currently I have only 22 moa of up travel with this setup, seems low to me, any ideas?

There you go stomper. Nobody tells you what to shoot. You just had to prove you could. Kinda sounds like you have something to prove by the way your going about all of this. Agree to disagree and move on.

So I harvested a forky last year as my first cwt, does that make me a bad guy? Now that I got that first one, time to bag a bigger one. They be some dang tasty critters though!!
