Welcome to the site! Everyone is different when it comes to processing, as I enjoy doing it myself, others might have a place do it since they don't have the tools or a place to do it.
You can look up some info on the web on what cuts are done, or you could just hack away (not rcmd). Off hand I don't recall the place I found info.
The head and antlers are yours! Congrats on tagging out, this is your trophy.
I boned out my deer last year and scattered the bones and hide around our camp off a ways so it would not attract other animals. Be cool about it and don't drop the stuff off at the local mccdonalds trash bin.

I have the Lee dies and they also leave the ring on the bullet. I am interested in what any others say as well.

I have the the 4-12x40 Diamondback in the BDC. I beleive the 4-12x40 one has the adjustable low turrets and will be able to adjust back to zero, if its like the one I have. You cant go wrong with more zoom as you may put the scope on another rifle in the future.

The little off pager looking things work good for me. You just put it on your belt or clip it to your shirt and it keeps them away.

Word to the wise, these "rip crews" have scouts watching from the mountain tops as well. Vekoll valley has had a big problem with that, and I imagine the units along the border have them as well. Glad to hear you made it thru without incident. This is why I dont hunt alone along the southern units.

I dint think it would be this bad if they would be more clear on what is closed and what is allowable for camping. The maps they have suck to say the least. I can see getting a ticket if it was clearly shown that the area was closed, but to ticket based off of the 30 foot rule is dumb. I have yet to see the FS out, but I am sure I will see them this fall. I like the idea of getting with other outdoor groups and working together to get this resolved. I am with a 4x4 group and will bring this up with them.

You should check out the Marlin owners dot com web forum. I also have an X gun and there is good data with that forum.

I carry the good ole mini mag lite, the AA size one. I like the surefire lights but dont have the cheese to put down on one.

Had the snap closures that keep the front plastics down on a rhino stolen while out hunting. The ride back to camp sucked with the front hood bouncing up and down.

I work for the Gila River tribe, and hunting is not allowed on tribal lands there. I was out surveying last year and watched the tribal cops remove some hunters near where we were working. Its not worth the trouble hunting the reservations as they can and will take your stuff for trespassing.
