I have never been down south to hunt coues. The more info that I get makes me think that it is not safe to go down there. Is there any truth to all of this? Is it as bad as it seems? I have not made a selection on which unit yet. Just looking for some feedback from the experienced hunters that go down there.

I have a friend who has the trophy ridge sight and the pins moved on him a few times. That was when the sight first came out.O therwise he likes the sight. I have my eye on the g5 sight I'll have to check more into it before I get one for 150.00 bucks.

Maybe it's that mentality that would do us some good to have some roads closed and motorized game retrieval disallowed If you have a bull elk down not far from a road and no harm would be done to the area are you telling me that you would not drive to it if it was possible. don't lie to yourself. more laws are not going to help the situation so don't wish for that can of worms.

Ultramag, not saying I would'nt drive to the bull 300 yards off the road if the circumstances warranted the retrieval, but you have bigger issues if you allow an animal to go green if the access is that easy. true, but why carry when it could ride. 300 yards is far when you have a 500 pound bull dressed out by yourself. I was told by a meat processor that a bull elk killed in the morning in the sun would have about 2.5 hours until its starting to spoil so you better hurry.

when the g&f posts draw odds they refer to first and second choice. So if you have been drawn for your first choice they still count your second choice in the odds, Though you could already have a tag. Sometimes I think the odds are better than whats posted on g&f stats.

the hondas are real good I have an old 650 honda that is at least 25 years old and runs like a champ. It just keeps the batteries charged and will run the heater thats all I need. But due to the age I will probly replace it this year with the honda 2000 or the yamaha 2400.

I have always used the luepold rings and bases, they seem fine on the remmington action as far as 2 piece or single the one piece would be stonger. I have never had a problem with the spent cases. the one piece is harder to load though.
