I broke down and bought a polaris ranger for scouting and hunting. This thing rocks it goes everywhere with no problems and save wear and tear on my truck. Hopefully I'll get good use out of it.

Any good rifle that you buy off the shelf will shot better than you can shoot it. add some custom touches like a trigger job and a good stock and good handloads. Its cool to spend the cash if you have money to burn but why? I say spend the cash on swarovoki optics and other hunting tools that you really need, Instead of having all your eggs in one basket. I sold the .300 rum and brought a new project,code name 270 wsm. I can't wait to shoot it. I also bought a luepold VXL 4.5x14x50 scope with the B/C crosshair. Hopefully she'll be a shooter. Cause my wife almost killed me when I brought it home sometimes that is the funnest part.

I learned that scouting does no good when you have roads on every ridge and creek bottom. you should leave the area and try to find a better spot. And most of all trust your gut feeling 9 out of 10 it will be right.
