Iam glad to see so many native arizona folks.myself 31 years I did not think there were this many of us left.I love the monsoon season because it is the start of scouting and bow shoots in the high country.I just wish we would get some rain.I like the fact that in 2 hours drive i can be in the cool pines on the rim, fishing at roosey.the diverse wildlife we have here.i like the sunrise out in the desert with all the birds singing.and of course the bugle of elk in sept.the winter when sometimes its feels so cold you have to remind yourself its arizona.desert muledeer and of course coues,desert sheep. as a native i dont like the population increase that has seem to explode in the last 10 years. I remember dove hunting five years ago in the area where my home is now. my dad and I would go to roosey and fish in the summer for a week, sometimes salome cove we would have to ourself and we caught bass almost every cast.hard to do that now. I still love this great state but i think its more "what it used to be" and not so much where its going.

not working for me

I am a working guy with a good credit card they love me! I shoot a 700 rem cdl.300 rum with varix-II 4-12 the gun has a trigger job and the barrel and action are bedded and free floating also a muzzel brake, very good shooting rifle.i bought a pair of 15x56 slc this year and have not used them much i also have a pair of 10x42 slc and they are great almost wish i had bought the 8x42. The range finder is next and a decent pack. man i could walk into sportsmans spend 2 grand and not buy any one item over 75.00 bucks but the big stuff is bought.

I have had good luck with rocket steelheads.The animals i have hit with them do not go far and they bleed real good.Ihave tried fixed blade heads and have not had good luck with arrow flight and consistant placement.

its typical now we has mule deer tags and whitetail tags now javalina all in opening weekend what a joke. i am guilty i "have"to get of my butt and attend these meetings or i/we have no business complaining i am guilty but this will change.

low compliance whats the difference if its a bow or a gun how does that matter. what are the g&f trying to get at here? the survey reports. big deal you dont have to report a rifle kill just check the box on the survey the same as general. g&f are just setting us up for more rule changes to justify going to a draw.for what reason is beyond me. they might be able to limit me on more unsuccessful trips.

that is a great idea! i would love to see something like that at ben avery shooting range. hike up a hill and have deer sized targets at 200 300 400 500 yrds with no bench rest" hunting conditions" .that would settle some of these guys down. and would put some reality in some hunters.now the guys that can shoot that far. it would be a great show and i would love some pointers from them.there is a lot of guys that "can" shoot that far.i would love to be one of them.the one and only coues i have shot was at 325 yrds and that was far for me. what a great idea we should all get together before we go huntin and set up some steel targets and that way we can see what we HIT and what we dont.
