thanks for the imput.i have chosen the rem model 700 s.p.s 270WSM.its a short action rem stainless with syn stock.with a leupold VX=2 4-12 i hope it will make a nice coues gun with manageable recoil.

I have seen the mod 70.with como stock.i looking real hard at the 25wssm.mybee a little on the light side.

about 5-10 years ago i was in that party stage of life and if i could go back i wouldnt change a thing.but now when i go hunt or scouting i wish i was young agian and in good shape to carry my out of shape butt over mountain tops. however thier is a lot of white tails in havasu that are worth scouting for

yep split it from the mule deer hunt and you have a winner.and do that to all units

i hope it will be a good fawn crop this year.if we get some good summer rain with the winter floods we will be alright....want to see the good ole days again.i might even get draw one of these years

the game and fish is seeking comments for an early season coues deer hunt in unit 23.What do you guys think of this.I read this but what they dont say is how many tags.And the effect of trophy quality........what do you think?I kinda like it but i dont want to see quality go down.

are you going to get the head mounted?it would look good.

well newbee i have to ask, are just going coues hunting? or could there be an elk hunt in there also.if just coues than the .243 would be ok.but if you add elk i would look closer at the .308,if i would make a sugestion to you i would think about mybe the .270 also.just a thought, good luck to you.its a hard choice.to much to consider

nice first buck, thats an understatement.thats real nice even for a 10th buck congrats.you say you were in the sw part of the state?or did you mean south east.didnt know they had coues in the south west part of the state,anyway great buck should look real good on the wall

thats impossible! their are no deer in 23, so that had to be in unit 42m, camelback mountain area.i dont belive 23 at all,i spent 6 months there in 23 and all i saw were rabits, and an elk "cow"at that.so sell your 23 somewhere else,im not buying it

the best place in this state to kill a monster coues is in the white tank park just west of phx.just hike in and they will be there.saw 4 bucks there yesterday all were over 100.

well pse probably makes a good product,but every pse i bought liked to crack limbs during elk hunts for some reason.that happened to 2 bows i owned,if anybody ever finds a bow in unit 9 while out hunting thats mine.because i got so pissed that i tossed it.went back home and bought a new bow.just my bad luck with pse.2 bows cracked limbs and during elk hunts.one is excuseable 2 is not

scott mini goose.have had it for years .there is no more paint on it i beat it up so bad,never a problem

the outdoor channel is good, but i have not seen anything new in a while just reruns.last year there was a show in mexico and the guy killed a monster.thats the only coues huntive seen
