The worst thing to do would be to open a doe hunt. Seriously? Our deer populations are horrible as it is. And especially in augugs when the does have dropped or are going to drop. That's a waste of one or two fawns. Moreover, potential future fawns. That would really drop the population more so. This is az not Louisiana where the deer are everywhere.

Try near Gardner canyon or temporal. Great places to start.

If you look hard enough and do your homework there are tons of bucks that are already finished. I had one on cam on the 19th that looks like he will be rubbing pretty soon. Pretty much most of the deer I saw this morning were finished up. A few that were still behind.

Montana has theirs pushed back into sept.

Middle buck appears to have both brow tines so looks different than the bottom one.

There are way more bobcats than they even think.

Are the deer cane block and black magic mix even legal to use with this new bait ban? I thought all they allowed was the reg salt blocks and trace mineral blocks sold at the feed stores? This is what I was told. Just wanting to know for sure.

I have never gotten any stolen in 33 fortunately, but those were in places that are long walks in. Plenty have been bashed and messed with in 35 though.

Hopefully he doesn't kill the one you're after. So many bucks from last year did not show up on can this year and I recently found them in lion kills.

It will take time. Once a couple ruts go through the area it will be awesome. Usually takes a couple years for the deer to start hitting consistently.

That last buck has some good growth

Nice job. I in one spot I used a plastic trash can and ran a line from it to a 10 gallon plastic trough with a float valve. I would just go in there every few weeks and fill the storage tank all the way up. It wasn't easy work but it was better to have one day of hauling buckets of water back and forth than always having to carry a bucket every week. I can't wait to see the results of your hard work. Whether its illegal or not you're supplying many critters with the most precious life sustaining resource. Good job.

Yeah but it is 50/50. Reconyx just contacted me back and said their ultrafire series won't be out until next year... So I can use that money for other cams now.

Which does not make sense, one would think that it would be encouraged to place water out for the wildlife. The water availability isn't like it was in the past. Springs that used to be full every year are bone dry all year now.

I would be careful with that if it is on state trust land. I did that in an area that did not have water for miles but it was solar pumped from an abondoned well. It supplied the wildlife with water for awhile until someone found it sheriffs dept. was contacted and everything was seized including my trail camera. Apparently it is illegal to set up water on state trust land.
