    Fly fishing

Yes, a small tarpon. Don't let the size fool you, though. It jumped three times and still put a helluva bend in my 9-wt!

    Fly fishing

Back at my computer with my fishing pics. Some of my favs from my flyfishing adventures. I caught my one and only (so far) tiger trout on a #14 Royal Wulff that my son tied for me. That's a personal favorite that I don't have pics of handy.

    Fly fishing

I couldn't imagine my life without flyfishing. My plan is to spend my retirement on the flats chasing bones, permit, tarpon, and barracuda. I've landed one tarpon on a fly rod, jumped, two, and missed several takes. I was baitfishing for bones with my son, but launched a big streamer at a 4-foot blacktip shark. The take was amazing! I went to set the hook, but the fly popped out and shark just sat there like nothing happened. I'm always up for a flyfishing trip!

    Powder to trade or sale

Check out Coues120's post a few days after yours:
  7. If we can figure out a route for that to/from Flagstaff, I'll take it. At the same time, this post was two below yours and is from May 20: Looks like you two can work it out for the 4350 and 3031.
  8. Where are you located and how much for the 4064? I'd offer a 4895 trade, but my kids' rifles love that stuff, too.
  9. If you had one that lasted that long, its one of the good ones! My parents both retired from Maytag in Newton, Iowa and that was when they were built right and with pride! This one that is being sold is from the generation that was still built in Newton and is one of the good ones and not just "Maytag" by name, after Whirlpool bought them out and shut down the Newton plants and HQ. With this one being made in 2004, I probably know the folks who worked on it! It was after my parents retired, but its still in the good-quality years of Maytag!

  13. Bumping back up with updated stuff and valley travel plans. We did some quarantine spring cleaning this afternoon. Time to get rid of stuff taking up space and, hopefully, make someone a good deal. I have an old gobbler shaker, Gerber bone saw, Hornady 12g 3" magnum #5 turkey loads (10 rds), Federal Premium 20g 3" #6 turkey loads (10 rds), Leupold Dual Dovetail 1" High rings, Leupold Dual Dovetail 30mm medium rings, and three 1-lb bottles of powder (Varget, H380, and Big Game). All three powder bottles have had 9-12 loads worth of powder used for load testing. Daughter's 7-08 didn't like either. I don't need them, so I figure I'll help others who may need them. No need to horde. In Flagstaff. Will not ship powder or ammo, but will hold it until we can meet up (from 6ft away) and we'll be in west valley near Cabela's for my daughter's birthday April 23-24. Can meet FTF in that area. My word of the year for TKD during my own black belt journey is "Compassion", so I can be talked into fair negotiations on price. Getting updated pics for everything. Getting updated pics uploaded, too. Turkey loads: 12g= $15 Rings: $20/each Owl Hooter: $5 Will also trade for Barnes .308 190gr LRX bullets, Barnes VOR-TX .223 55gr ammo, H1000, and RCBS Small-base Taper Crimp .223 2-Die set.
  14. Bump for the scope rings. Leupold Dual Dove Tail 30mm medium rings $20 shipped Leupold Dual Dove Tail 1-inch high rings $20 shipped

    Turkey Tag and Vest Raffles

Our NAZ NWTF Chapter in Flagstaff is raffling off an Alps Outdoorz turkey vest. Only 25 tickets being sold and there are only about 12 tickets left. We also have our annual raffle for the commissioner's turkey tag. There are 10 decks of cards being sold across the state. We have one deck of 54 cards. First prize is one of the Commissioner's turkey tags, valid in any open unit and valid for 365 days starting mid-August. The drawing will take place early August at the Sierra Vista banquet or somewhere around there if they are having a banquet. Tickets for both can be purchased here: https://www.naznwtf.org/shop As always, we appreciate your support for funding great conservation projects, youth hunting programs, and Hunter Education programs in Northern Arizona!

    Turkey Tag and Vest Raffles

We sold the 25 tickets and drew a winner over the weekend. Michael Rubin from Globe is the winner of this raffle. If you'd like to see another one up for raffle, just say so and I'll go back to our committee to make it happen. I love getting feedback of what people want to see raffled!
  18. Saw is also sold. Both sets of rings, 12g turkey ammo, and call still available.
  19. Powders are all sold. Saw is SPF. All else is available and I have it all with me down here in west Valley.
  20. All powders are SPF. Scope rings, 12g turkey ammo, saw, and call still available. In the valley 4/23-4/25 on west side of town. Arriving 12-1pm Friday and leaving Sunday morning.

Any turkey ammo for sale in town?

I've got a full box of Hornady Magnum turkey loads. 12g 3" #5 shot. Full box of 10. I'll be in the west valley, near Cabela's Friday afternoon-Sunday morning.
  22. That's an owl call. I had an old gobbler shaker, but I think i tossed it. I have a good Primos gobble shaker in my vest I'd part with if you're interested. I never use it.
  23. Deal for all the powders and 12g turkey loads fell through due to unfortunate circumstances. Dano562 was next in line and has spoken for the Varget and H380. Big Game powder, 12g turkey loads, both sets of scope rings, saw, and call are still available. Should be at hotel near Cabela's around noon Friday. Will be in and out Friday and Saturday as we celebrate our daughter's birthday. Heading home to Flagstaff early Sunday.
  24. Powder and turkey loads are SPF. Rings, call, and saw are still available. Will ship these four things.
  25. joohnnybgood is taking all 3. If something falls through, you're next in line.
