Mathews passion. I believe it has 80% let off. its not my draw arm at all but my left arm that holds the bow. my biggest problem I think is I don't want bigger muscles (I've got enough in my upper body). just the opposite of guys who want bigger muscles I know. I want to build the strength in my left arm without getting bigger muscles but I don't think it works that way...lol I think I'm gonna try bands or light weights. thanks everyone for your ideas. much appreciated.

hey I got drawn for elk ;0) I saw a 9x10 a few years ago. he was a monster! only one I've ever seen seen that big and he was about 10 yards from me during Aug Archery for like a couple minutes. I'm sure he's gone by now but I've never seen any pics of him taken and I would think someone would've been pretty proud of him. wish I had pic to share but I was too scared to move!

my prayers to all the ones who are gone and to the ones left behind. very sad.

they are the cutest things...when they are babies!

prayer said. barrows is the best place she could be.

as a wife I wouldn't have liked it but now that I hunt, I'd rather spend the money if i can or save up and buy once. upgrading x2 stinks. we both finally have Swaro binos. what a difference!!!
-
we've used a variety also. I like some things better in one line than the other. no matter how they work the wind is either your friend or your enemy. we also do a lot trying to keep the scent down.

haha...lol. of course not but I definitely have a better chance of noticing something at 40 yards than 500 yards.

good job!

are the pants waterproof too?

6a Sept archery bull...I hope to be in the middle of an elk love fest! I'm making plans pretty much every day for it.

2 pairs of socks work for me. aloe socks inside. smart wool outside. no blisters even with new boots. if i wear 1 pair forget it..my feet hurt. just what works for my feet.
-
that's really bad. that stinks. hope he recovers as quick as possible. if u sit a blind or stand during the late hunt maybe he can help you that way or glassing.
-
he's a nice looking bull. Sept can't come quick enough!

I still wouldn't want to kill a female. glad I Archery hunt. you gotta get close enough where you may be able to tell.
-
the funds go to good causes but it would've been nice to see a couple more locals....like me...lol (I did purchase tickets!)

I've got a bull hunt in 6a in Sept. I'd be happy with any info u find out. I left 6a last Sunday and there was no rain so good to hear it may have started. I too heard a bugle that trip but it had to have been a young one communicating to the cows who were making a ruckus. All the big ones I've seen have been in bachelor herds or solo.

is it mostly body size that tells them apart unless of course there's fawns or if ur close enough to see its stuff.

he's got some mass. maybe u can find him during season!

the northern country needs. some more rain. last weekend everything was very dry. hubby going up Tuesday for a few days. we will see if its gotten wet. some tanks are getting low. they need a good downpour like my desert home got yesterday. it was amazing.
-
also I buy small waterproof duffle bag and strap it to my pack they don't weigh much but I always want it with me during certain seasons.

I have 2. the 1st I've used for the last 2 years and used both Augusts. its very smart to have rain gear. I didn't spend a whole lot. Red Head Storm Tex. did the job. the cuffs get wet in down pours. kinda hot too but again did the job and let me keep hunting. I got a 2nd set so i have a spare dry one. red head stretch rain wear. seems a little thinner (hopefully cooler) and has some stretch. haven't used it yet though. I buy a size bigger in jackets to accommodate layering. I use L jackets and M pants. I'm 5'5" and average build. husbands 6' 200 lbs and wears L pants and XXL jacket. he has long arms.

why do they seem to wait til the end of the year? they have a whole year to find one and every year there are big ones especially when you have the whole state and I'm sure guides. we all get 7-14 days to fill our tags and that's only if you take off the whole hunt which most people cant do. Sept/Oct of last year held many hard horned big bulls. just doesn't make sense to me.

nice group. how many yards?

I love old pics. very cool and yippee there was one female hunter!
