Strike out for me & my brother 2 years in a row! There's another story for my dad. He drew the late December Whitetail in 36C and more impressively the early season muzzleloader 6A bull tag. That's a once in a lifetime opportunity. So i'll be living out my hunting season through my dad. Congrats to all of you successful applicants!

My buddy got two seperate hits on his account; one was for $65 and one for $78, so they're definitely going in some sort of order. I think they drew deer first, just my guess.

Well congratulations!! Just as long as you didn't take my bull tag that I haven't drawn in 4 years then I'm happy for you! Way to defy the odds! Everybody continuolly check your accounts!!! I just got a call from my buddy who said that $65 had been taken from his account last night & then another $78 was taken this morning. They must be doing this in some sort of order!

I'm guessing that it's 2 Elk tags @ $78 a pop, but it could also be 8 deer tags ... do u happen to have a large family who all happened to put in together?

For those of you who did get a hit on your card? are these credit cards that hit from your bank account? or are they a normal credit card? Cuz i keep checking my credit card statement online and I have NOTHING! But I put in for 12 tags all together for my two sons & myself, so I find it very hard to believe that none of us drew anything.

Not only did i strike out like i posted yesterday, but after talking to my dad, brother, and all of our hunting buddies (13 in all), between us we drew one november muley hunt in 36C. Talk about a tough year!

I don't have any cameras up there, but i know that area like the back of my hand!

Hello fellow forum buddies! Well, another unforgettable hunt filled with up's and down's. On the day before openning morning my dad picked me up from my house and we headed down to Tucson to stay with a family friend/hunting buddy for the night. Our plan was to get up early and make it to our hunting spot before first light. So... on openning morning we go to leave and come to realize that my father's quad had been stolen off of our trailer overnight. So between the police taking forever to show up, and us having to fill out a police report we didn't show up to our spot until just after 9am. Trying to still salvage our hunt, we tried to forget about what had happened and focus on what we came for. The first three hunts we saw a lot of does, but only two rag-horned bucks and a spike. We decided to go further back into the canyon and see if the bucks were hangin' out in there. About 45 minutes after first light my dad spotted some deer on a hill side about 800 yards away. We set up the spotting scope and saw 8 deer w/ one being this buck. Due to the fact that we hadn't seen a decent buck so far, this one looked pretty good in my book. The only problem was that there was nowhere to go for a shot. In between us and the mountain the buck was on was nothing but thick brush and deep washes. Our only real option for a shot was to shoot from the bottom of the wash. From there the buck was just over 400 yards, but severely uphill. Not knowing how much the bullet would drop, i aimed right where his neck met his spine and squeezed it off. CUUUWAAAP! (you all know the sound). The buck stumbled behind some trees and that was it. He's no hundred-incher, but i'm very proud of this buck. So even though the quad's in Mexico somewhere now, we still had one heck of a hunt. p.s. thanks again tracy and bubba for your help.

In a hunt I had back in 2000, i was spotting and stalking. My dad and i spotted a nice buck on the hill above us. The buck snuck over the top on us so we decided to go up after him. About 20 yds before reaching the top we heard branches cracking about 50 yards ahead. To our luck a herd of javelina's had spooked the buck right over the hill back at us. He picked his head up and spotted my dad and i at exactly 12 yards. I consider that pretty easy.

I've drawn a late tag for unit 36C and i've heard nothing but good things about that unit this year. I really want to be successful this year, but due to the fact that i'm a full time student at ASU (go devils), and i work weekends, i've been unable to scout or do any homework of my own. Does anybody have any stories or information about that area that they'd be willing to share? Thanks alot. -Lookin'4amonster

Just got back right now and in 36c the small/medium size bucks are pushing does pretty good. The big boys are still kinda in hiding, but i saw an occasional monster w/ a doe or two. No shots tho.

That's quite the stalk! I'd like to hear a full detailed story of that.

Late tag in 36c. I'll be hunting the 17th-19th and the 29th-31st (if necessary).

I'm not really worried. I know there are some amazing bucks in there, I just have to put in the miles to find one. I know though, for a fact, that as long as I try my hardest, even if i don't tag an animal. The hunt will be successful.

Let's hope that you/the lions didn't kill off all the bucks! I'm lookin' to get the grand daddy of all bucks. Wish me luck. I leave in 4 days.

Thanks for the advice red rabbitt. I will definitely take that into consideration. I should take advantage of being able to hike into some rough country while i'm still young and agile. hahaha.

I'm not really lookin' for anybody to tell me where they're gonna be. I was just wondering if anybody could tell me whether or not they've seen a lot of game. Bucks yes/no? Monster Bucks yes/no? That kind of information.
