Tule has been fenced to exclude cattle (mainly burros) for 20 years. It's BLM land, not Game and Fish. Cool spot to visit once you get past China Dam. Any area around pleasant without a fence gets blown out by the burros. You can still get into Tule, has an access gate for you and the critters. Sorry to OP for derail but wanted to state the facts... Facts? No, AZGFD has closed the road and gated it at the homestead and it is locked. In the last 15 years I have never seen it unlocked. Of course it's BLM, duh. The road used to take you past the springs and to the road to Tiptop. There is no 'critter' gate and there's a 4'x6' azgfd sign saying those are designated riparian lands same as the drainage near Yellow Jacket. And no, there are no gates for people or their critters. If there were a critter gate, how is the fence going to keep out burros and cattle? Those are the facts.image025.jpg Sheesh Tim, wasn't trying to start a fight. I guess my memory about the critter gate was confused with another area. Clearly you've spent more time in there and know the facts better than I do. I'll go back to my corner now that I've been properly schooled.

SWDesertRat replied to NMBPMAN's topic in Classified Ads
Had a scope shipped from Safford recently, shipping was less than $8.00. No big deal for me. Free bump for seller.. -
I was wondering the same thing. Don't they usually suspend hunting rights for 5 years?Pretty sure that during the commission meeting last month they permanently revoked hunting and fishing licenses for these guys. so why make then take the class? Or was the class revoked too? heck I don't know, you bring up a good point and questions though. The chumps could choose not to take the class since they'll never be able to hunt or fish in Az or any states that are in the compact.

After all these years Lark has come out of the closet and accepted his fixation with what he thinks is the superior caliber. Knew it would only be a matter of time.

I know exactly where that sign is, nice job filling a tag. Hunted hard 4 days in the same unit, filled one of two tags and saw more hunters than pigs. Pigs I did find were bedded by 8:30 am. I laugh every time I drive by that sign. Thanks for posting

Have 5 goat sheds I've picked up over the years, two are matched sets. Nothing big or special but thought someone may want them since goat sheds aren't too common...make me an offer. I won't be picky. 57564nineone37two Thanks

TwoGuns, Wyoming has one of the best websites for hunt planning. Interactive map (with landownership) draw odds and harvest reports. There are some units that nonresidents can draw with zero or one preference point without going into the special draw. You can purchase preference points beginning July 1. If you're willing to pay a few hundred dollars more, you can draw a tag in the special draw. Use the map to do some research based on location for public land and water. Wyoming also has a walk in access program where private is open to public with certain stipulations (no quads, no vehicles, only for pronghorn, only for deer, etc.) also some have limited access and you can apply for a permit. Some units open in Sept or Oct and depending on the unit may go unit late Nov for rifle. Buy a pref point this year for $30 while you do your research for next year.

Well there you go....thx Andy.

IUnless you already got your app in, youre gonna have to go in 2017. App deadline was Jan 31. Im not an expert by any means but Buy your pref point and put in next year w a pref point, youll go in at 5 and according to 2014 draw results should have 20% odds. Sweet spot is 6 pref points for 100% unless you plan on paying extra for the special draw and in that case you shouldve put in last year (2 was 100%). You dont have to tell me why you like 59 but in Wyoming I like a unit with a little more public land, if youre looking for a good 70+ buck. Im sure you can find them but more available country means more chances at locating one....at least thats how I think. There are always leftovers too.

Glad to see you make it happen Brian. Fist held high after a shot is always a good sign to see through binos. Was back in the same area today and wasn't lucky enough to find the pigs again, goes to show it was your day. Haha...conversations with wives about 15's...that is a post in itself. Let me know when you're ready to get out again. -Clay

Very sound advice. I'm no expert, I spent some time researching and talking to experts and decided a trust was the way to go. I know several friends and acquaintances that spent years in court waiting for a ruling because of wills and disagreement. Kudos to you for thinking about these things, many people don't and it never happens, leaving family and estates in limbo or in the care of the state. Also consider a living will and power of medical attorney. Here is a helpful link to review the latter items. https://www.azag.gov/sites/default/files/sites/all/docs/lifecare/Life-Care-Planning-Packet-Complete.pdf To each their own about wills and trusts, I would encourage you to review them again before you decide a will suites your families needs and your confidence that you are OK that your estate will be settled the way you wanted it to be settled.
