Great topic, I agree, these girls are amazing hunters! Just so happened, that my daughter shot her javelina this morning. Kendra also harvested this fine cow in October! Not to bad for a senior in high school, let me tell ya, them high school boys are jealous! These girls make a great hunter camp, this weekend we had a group hunt with about 12 tags. These girls put a whipping on the boys, 2-1 in the harvest category...

Another job well done!! All, If you do not know, Don is a finalist of three individuals that is under review for appointment to the AZGFD Commission. Don is the type of person that we need to represent the Commission. I have not met another more caring and willing person that does so much for others within the hunting community! Just a quick note on my family fall hunting adventure. It started with me, after waiting 12 years to hunt bull elk. Spending over 30 days scouting my unit, passing many bulls on day 11 I was blessed with my biggest bull to date A few weeks later, my son due to High School Football and limited time was able to harvest this fine buck, his 5 buck from AZ. Then the following weekend my daughter was able to harvest her 1st cow elk. The older I get the more I enjoy hunting with my awesome family, all I can say is I am blessed! Mike

This year has been so great, I never imagined that my Senior daughter would still want to hang with dad and pursue hunting with passion. With my son knee high as a Sophomore playing JV and Varsity football and keeping up the grades. That he made sure, that yes we were going out together to find him a buck

If you were in 9 this weekend, welcome flash flooding. It was amazing to see the downpour and water flowing everywhere. Helped two guys get unstuck as it was a sink hole for full size trucks! As for deer, I have been there 18 days since June very few deer seen.

Heard a single bugle in 9 around 10 pm. So it is starting....

Congrats!! You harvested one of my bucket list archery critters! Sweet!

I have found a big buck will only have tolerance for a short amount of time. At some point while you visited your site the bucks came through and smelled ya or were coming in while you you there setting up stands or checking cams. They now have a fear of that specific location. During your hunt you saw them at a distance due to their fear and expecting an issue. I would set up a ground blind about 30 yards on the on other side of were you saw them. Good things to come.
