Yes 9 is crazy unit but a great one. Since drawing my tag, I now have 16 days there scouting. I think the record is 8 cams on a single water source and close to a few hundred seen. But only around 8 tree stands hung. I hit about 20 well known water sources over the last two days and saw I think 3 tree stands hang. All I can say is if someone is holding a place that I may want to hunt, they best have a tag and archery gear with them or per ARS Statute: 17-316. . It is a class 3 misdemeanor for a person to enter or remain on a designated hunting area on any public or private lands or waters or state lands including state trust lands with the intent to interfere with, prevent or disrupt the lawful taking of wildlife. I was given some great advice, I will give them a copy of the statute while filming our interaction, than if needed turn it over to AZGDF to issue harassment. I really do not think this will ever happen as the unit is so vast and so many places to hunt. With only 100 tags, we should all be able to get along! The last thing we need is to have such an awesome hunt to allow a few jerks to ruin it, I will just move on to plan B, C, D. the great thing is you just never know when a big bill will show.. Another monster storm hit yesterday and there is water everywhere, I had to sit in the truck for 3 hours to wait it out. I think if this was a dry/drought hunt, there may be a few more issues for the limited amount of water to sit.

Very sad for sure, If you ever want to see a comedy show, go check out unit 9 tanks and drinkers, so far I am up to over 100 cams with 6 cams being set on one drinker! I would leave a note and let them know about the same day that they set up there cam yours was taken. Give them a chance to contact you and also let them know you will be there opening day hunting deer. My bet is if they took it, they will pull there cams and disappear or they will contact you and have concerns theirs may be next?

AZGFD; Proposed fees
bowhunter4life replied to coueshunter's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Make since about the cost of the draw process but what about the cost of the hunting licence? Technically this is "free money" as there is no value for the user. The licence only give the end user the opportunity to apply or obtain a tag. I remember a number of years ago, the excuse to raise licence fees was to help offset the paper draw cost. I think the app fee back then was $3. Funny how the licence fee is still going up plus the cost of the tags and now the reason is to raise the App fee due to processing cost.. I believe, if truly the philosophy of the department is " hunter retention/ recruitment" then why not use other methods to supplement their budgeting than raising all fees across the board. I think the $5 youth licence is a good thing but it is a smoke and mirror, with app fees being increased? A normal youth licence is $15, now if it is $5. Let say, I apply for youth hunts for my son and daughter for deer, elk, javalina and spring turkey. The app fee will be $13 x 8 = $104 plus $5 each for licence = $115. Under the current system $15 x 2 = 30 plus 8 x $7.50 = 60 = $90, a cost increase of $25 just to apply. -
AZGFD; Proposed fees
bowhunter4life replied to coueshunter's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I agree to a point but raising the app fees to $13 is way out of line. This is a 200% increase in non refundable dollars. Just to purchase bonus point for myself and two kids will cost $315 for all species compaired to $157. -

Dear Valued Customer: You are receiving this email because our records indicate you own a vehicle that is affected by a recent change in Arizona vehicle emissions testing requirements. Effective June 21, 2013, motorcycles, All Terrain Cycles (ATC), and All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) will be exempt from Arizona vehicle emissions testing. Motorcycle, ATC and ATV registrations that are processed on or after the effective date will no longer be required to undergo emissions testing, regardless of the registration expiration date. EXAMPLE: If a motorcycle, ATC or ATV registration expires on June 15, 2013 but the customer does not renew the registration until on or after the effective date (June 21, 2013), no emissions testing is required since the registration renewal wasn’t processed until after the effective date. However if you register late, you will be required to pay all late registration fees. If you have questions regarding this emissions exemption please contact the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality at 602-771-3954 or Motor Vehicle Division at 602-255-0072. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Department of Transportation, Motor Vehicle Division ROBERT J. SMITH Program Manager This is an automated message: Do not reply to this email.

I agree. There is no reason for such a high fee. Especially when I am also putting my son and daughter in. That like 39 dollars per species. Make sure to contact the commission and let them know that the application fees is ridiculous! http://www.azgfd.gov/inside_azgfd/commission_members.shtml
