Nevada proposing to ban Trail Cameras

I agree with Tines. I hear way more stories about guys eating tag soup because they were holding out for that one particular buck they happened to get a trail cam pick of. Very rarely do I hear stories of hunters getting a T.C. pic of a big buck and going out and killing it. Heck who knows there might be less deer/elk killed every year because of this. While I'm not a big fan of trail cams I can't really see them as being a reason for more game being killed.

    Card Hit - 2016 style

WOW!! All I can say is WOW! This thread is borderline legendary. All we'd need to bump this thread up to legendary status would be a post from Naturegirl.

    Card Hit - 2016 style

Still ahead of schedule. If the results aren't out by April 22nd then we'd have a reason to complain.

Guides not real hunters????? That's funny.

Can we start an updated thread about the Elk draw

I don't see the point in starting a new thread until the results are officially out. Every year we get numerous draw results threads posted before the draw has even happened. I vote no more draw results thread made until the day comes when the draw results are actually out. No need for two non draw results threads going at the same time. trphyhntr just blew this thread up though! That's dang funny right there

    Swarovski new what????

DANG IT! I was hoping for a lightweight 6x-24x variable binocular with at least a constant 72 degree FOV. A guy can dream can't he

    Still rutting!

Went out Sunday morning and saw a lot of does by themselves. Maybe 5 or 6 groups totaling about 20 deer not a buck found anywhere near these ladies. Did see a 3x3 with his nose to the ground searching and 2 small bucks bugging some does.

115" Mexico 3x3 pics and kill shots

Very nice! I loved the videos. The quality of your footage looks crazy good. From the looks of it I'd have to guess the footage was captured by phonescopeing. It always amazes me to see such awesome footage coming from a dang phone attached to a scope or binos. Excellent job all around congrats!

    Hunting for a Giant.

Awesome stuff congrats you guys! Being the video nut that I am I absolutely love the footage you got of the bigger buck. I've probably watcher it 10 or so time already. Thanks for taking the time to post this.

    Desert Mule Deer

Heck of a buck congrats! Love the old school Photoshop job you guys did on the pic. The cameraman must be covering up some power lines or some other telling feature. Who needs Photoshop just use your thumb .

    Archery 4x4

Congrats! Nothing better than hunting big desert muleys in the rut except maybe hunting big desert coues in the rut. Thanks for posting.

Wanting to get Good at Glassing

Some great info here guys. Out of all the tips and info posted if all you did was what Pine Donkey and Becker said over time you'd become a better glasser. Pretty sure this has been said already but I feel it should be said again and that is just because you don't see deer doesn't mean they are not there. I feel this is very important to remember when glassing and it helps keep you in a positive state of mind. For me staying mentally positive is almost as important as my optics and glassing technique. I try to remind myself the more I'm looking through the glass the greater my chances are that I'll find deer.
  18. In the flyer it say the ranch and the G&F are working on extending the current existing access agreement(key words current existing) which in my mind means there will be no changes made to the current agreement other than the extension but then in the next sentence they contradict this by saying the ranch is trying to improve the quality of the hunting experience who hunt the ranch which in my mind says they trying to change the current agreement. Well which is it? Are they just working on just extending the current agreement or or they trying to change it up? I sure hope the ranch isn't working with an outfitter trying to get the outfitter exclusive hunting privileges to the ranch similar to Double D outfitters and the X-1 ranch.

15's or 12x50 and spotting scope?

When you say that you could use a spotting scope in some situations what exactly do you mean by this? Would you be using the spotter to glass with or just to get a closer look at things you already found in your binos?

Blessed with our first 2 coues bucks!

Great bucks congrats to you both. That 32 buck is sweet looking! I've probably seen more than 1000 bucks over the years hunting 32 and I have never seen a buck in that unit with huge eye guards like that.

You ever see rutting in November?

Saw a 2x2 chase a doe for 15 mins with his nose to the ground straight out doggin her. She finally was able to give him the slip after which the buck was able to sniff out 3 more doe and proceeded to chased them around for about 5 mins. All this happen during the early rifle hunt(late October) in unit 29.

    My Biggest Yet!!!!!

Becker shoots yet another GIANT coues! This guy sure has got these big boys figured out. Such an incredible deer! I Love everything about this buck especially his beams. How long are they 20+??? You going to post any more details on how the hunt went down? Congrats on getting your biggest buck man!

    mass and trash

. The buck lived the entire time in about a 800 yard by 800 yard box. Usually in very thick and flat terrain. He had to be on the fringes of that box in order to harvest him. That's why we were lucky to get him because catching him on the fringe of his core habitat required the luck of timing. Gets old sitting in the same spot all day, day after day waiting for him to make a mistake. Cool thanks. Sounds like you guys put in some serious work to get this buck. Congrats again to everyone involved and thanks for sharing the experience with us.

    mass and trash

Not much more I can say that hasn't been said already. I'm a mass man and this kind of buck is the kind of buck I dream of finding someday. Congrats on such an incredible buck! Just out of curiosity how far did the buck move in the last three years of hunting him? Did he happen to stay in the same canyon year after year?
