Just a heads up I just got a tag at Cal Ranch in Sierra Vista. They said they've been getting a lot of out of staters calling and coming in looking for tags. Didn't sound like they had much left so if you need one in the SV area you might want to go get one as soon as you can.

Some awesome pics you got there. Quality looks good to me but what do I know I only hunt the dinks down in southern AZ.

Saw that as well. I don't quite understand why a guy would give up hunting just to continue running cams. Just doesn't make sense in my eyes. Even with this new rule it would still be pretty easy to continue using cams and still be able to hunt. He did mention that he thinks G&F might use him as an example so maybe he's just playing it safe.

Not looking forward to the weather. Finally saw some rutting activity. Watched a good buck chase does around for 3 to 4 hours. Saw 3 good bucks today. Only got one crappy pic for now.

Awesome congrats! I'm going out tonight and if I see a buck like that I'm shooting. Thats a cool coues man!

Finally saw a good buck acting a bit rutty this morning. He was raking trees and and looking at the lady's but never gave chase. It's been rough. Don't know if the moon or me just not being able to find them. Hope my luck changes soon.

Unfortunately no. Never saw them again after I videoed the bigger one hard horned. It wasn't for the lack of trying. We ended up with these two instead.

Thanks. I can't remember for sure but it was either a Panasonic FZ80 or I was videoscoping with a Panasonic G7 and a 114mm telescope. Pretty sure it was the G7 telescope combo.

Yep I think I'm gonna start caping every buck we get from now on. Wish I started doing this years ago if I'd done so I might actually be good at by now. Like you said shoulda woulda coulda.

Sounds good. As of now the cape is spoken for but if for some reason the guy doesn't want it your next in line.

The capes frozen. Just looks like a ball of fur unless I thaw it out. If you want it it's yours at no cost. Once you take it to a taxidermist and have it checked out and it's determined to be a useable cape then if you want to give me some money for it that's cool if not no big deal. The reason I don't want any money upfront is because I've never caped a deer before and I don't know if I did everything right. I'd hate to charge someone money for a bad cape. Let me know.

I was going to let the person who wants it decide on the price. Whatever they feel the cape is worth is what the price is.
