I can't see the G&F not doing something about this by not giving people that are drawn atleast a chance to update their card if it happens to be declined.

Thanks and you're welcome KYboy! -
Thanks for bringing this up Outdoor Writer. Guess they needed to update the system so they could handle all the hate mail they're going to get after banning trail cams.

Pretty sure hound hunting is going to get the shaft sooner than later no matter what the outcome of this trail cam ban is. Hound hunting has been frowned upon by the general public and some in the hunting community for as long as I can remember. I'm surprised its lasted this long. As far as the trail cam issue I don't use them never have and probably never will. I agree that this statewide ban is not the solution just because there are problems on the strip and in a few trophy elk units. Down in the units where I mainly hunt hunt I've never seen any issues with cams. From the rumors I've heard the G&F is basically being blackmailed by the state to get cams banded. If the G&F don't ban them the state will is what it sounds like or at least they'll try.

The only 2 I can think of is cell trail cams and baiting. I know back in the 90s leg traps were outlawed but I dont think it was the g&f that banned them. Correct me if I'm wrong but I also think that law was reversed. The use of drones for hunting purposes and I.R optics are probably a couple more AZGF bans.

That p1000 is a sweet camera.

The problem with this line of thinking is that sometimes some of these so called rights should have never been allowed in hunting in the first place. Take infrared technology for example when it first came out people were using it for hunting until it got banned. Would hunting with an infrared scope be considered one of these rights that have been taking away from us hunters? I would say no. Hunting rights should be inherited not invented.

Dang! Losing a giant buck and a pair of Swaros in the same night might have caused a lesser man to call it quits. Great job sticking it out and tagging one great looking buck! -
Sweet! You punched your tag on a dandy!
-
Cool congrats on your 1st coues. Those early hunts can get pretty dang hot.
-
Congrats to the wife. Big or small seems like she's always filling her tags.

Have you looked into the one Ryan Hatch from Muley Crazy sells. Its a bit pricey but looks pretty sweet. -
I vaguely remember him posting about it here on CW. If I remember right he was in the 3rd grade and something about being uphill both ways.🤣

Pretty cool. Did that bottom one really say you could but a car with cash, credit or cotton? Cotton??? Really? Wonder how many bails a car costed back in the day. It's amazing how much things have changed since then.

Bipod Height for Southern Units

Been hunting down south in the tall grass for about the last 15 years now. Since then I've had nothing but trouble trying to shoot prone in this grass. Could be just me but most of my shots I have to take sitting. I don't know much about bipods but if it were me I'd choose one that was tall enough to use in the seated position just in case. Good luck. -
Awesome! Congrats all around!

With some of the youth hunts starting this week I wanted to share a video of my daughter's hunt from back in 2018. I've been hunting all my life and hunting with my kids is definitely my favorite. Hope this gets some of you excited for the up coming deer season and good luck to all the youth hunters this weekend!
