Hot n dry where I'm hunting but that's pretty much the norm for the Oct hunt. What I've noticed though is the lack of grass. I've been hunting this area for about 15 years now and I don't think I can remember a year with as bad grass growth as this year. Hunts been ok but antler growth looks to be below average where I'm at but I haven't seen enough bucks to know for sure. These are two of the 3 biggest we've seen so far. Found them this morning. They we're bedded by 8:30 and didn't get up until sundown.

I would buy it if I had time to drive up and get it. Might have to make it a family trip and go get if if it doesn't sell soon.

I got a hit for archery bull this morning and just got a hit for a youth elk tag sometime after 4pm. There's still hope.

Sounds like a tough but rewarding hunt congrats. Last day bucks are the best especially when it's a good looking buck like this one. Makes me wonder what your target buck looked like.

Dang man that's a stud!!! Buck fever would of had me shaking all over the place if I was drawn on a buck like that. I would have missed at 20 let alone 65. You did good. Real good! Congrats! You've inspired me to get out and find a biggun for myself. Thanks for sharing!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you get 5 or 6 bonus inches when the beams touch or cross like that.
