Thanks for all the great comments! My daughter and I loved them. Mule, This method is harder and takes twice as long but it is the only way to ensure that the meat does not get contaminated with the musk/odor. You will never see me in a picture holding, touching, carrying a javelina. I change gloves and knives any time I touch the outer hide. I never have to soak, marinate or ‘cure’ my javelina meat before eating. It is not gammy at all. Deer are much easier. I gut right off, cut off the legs from knee down. We skin as soon as we get back to camp and place in a new tarp and cover in ice. The one exception is if it is cold, like low 30's, I will let it hang in a game bag over night. Amanda, I typically grind all of my javelina to make chorizo so I take everything out with me. I have only done the gutless method once for a young bull elk I took 1.7miles in a quiet area. I worked great but I was disappointed at the amount of meat I ended up with. For me it is a major benefit of hunting.

Let me answer a few questions ahead of time. I prefer trades. Firearms, hunting relatedstuff or not. Let me know...worst case i'll say no thanks. I bought these post crazyness because I had the AR but no ammo. Now I had to sell the AR to pay for school. Because of the post crazyness I would have to sell for $480 for the 600. I know... not cheap by any means. Thats why I prefer to trade. At $480 I am making less than 10%. Any less I will keep them with the hopes of finding a SIG AR at wally world...slim chance in heck I know. It is 5.56 not .223. If interested in pics of ammo, case heads, bandleirs, etc. let me know. Thanks More D -

Is the hype over AR's finally calming down?
More D replied to anthonyrmatthews's topic in The Campfire
I was talking with the guy at the sporting goods counter at my local wally word. He said that they are still getting the ar's in regularly. The problem is that the same few guys are going the store 5-6 times a day to try and catch the rifles when they are placed for sale. They are not lasting an hour, some selling as fast as 15min. The same group of guys have bought multiple ars. They are not shy about what they do with them either. They will say straight out that they are holding on to a few for later and the rest end up on backpage etc. Too bad for all of us who want one to actually shoot it! More D -

how much is 223 brass worth???
More D replied to Big Browns's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Before all the mess my uncle had two five gallon buckets of mostly 5.56 and .223 brass to a recycler for $500. More D -
quiet place for drinks after work.....and i work nights! Yes it is open that early. Ask what they have on tap...you'll love the answer!

Try the Cub. They are single shot so the kids actually learn to shot. The LOP is nice and short. I would stay away from the Cricket. The safety is not like on an adult rifle so it is harder to transition later.

I have a great condition LC9 for sale for $340. $20 of which I will kick back to Amanda for the opertunity to sell here. I have shot it exactly 120 times and has been my primary carry since I bought it new for fathers day 2011. 100 of Federal champion 115gr fmj and 20 of the Winchester PDX1 124gr +P with never any issues or jams. I have the box, papers and carry case the Ruger sends with it. I currently have pic on my phone only but can text of email to any interested parties. I just need to see an ID, I have CCW as well. The only trade I and interested in would be a Gen 3 or newer Glock 19 or a XDM 3.8 in 9mm with cash on top from me. I wanted to menion that I have bought a few firearms her on CWT and have never had any issues. I feel lucky that I have a great place where I feel comfortable to sell and buying my hunting and shooting related items. Thanks More D

I second it...Bohunter is correct. Mammals are too efficient to have voids. The void is often confused with the backstrap.

For dust you need the rear wind shield. That is where the dust is coming from.

I have the 700 Ranger and my uncle has the 700 X2 polaris quad. Mine does not use all that much more gas than his. Because mine has a larger gas tank I do not even fill up ever day where he does. Mine has a 8 gall tank compared to his 2 gall. I LOVE mine! I have never....ever had an issue....ever aside from the battery. Only because I did not have a battery tender on it. I also have to say that mine rides better too. And yes you can get an elk on a quad but can you put 4 adults, 2 kids, a full grown elk and everyones gear with out low gear for a 2 hours ride back to camp on sh!tty 6A roads.....I bet not. More D
