Great advice on this one....as always. I to have chased the muleys in the 36's grasslands. Some days it GREAT the next nothing! stick with it. I too saw a large herd of good looking muleys east of the Buenos Aires house just outside of the boundery (huntable). They might be large in size because they learned to dance on the boundery line. Kendog: Might you show us a pic of your deer, at least to keep the archery fire alive?!? My hunting partner spend alot of Dec/Jan archery season in the hills trying to do what you did last year. I drew a 32 muley tag and thats it! My wife drew a 6a muzzy tag. My hunting partner drew a 6A archery cow tag!!! All in all not to bad! Predator: You drew a 6A muzzy tag as well?? Cow or bull?? Congrats to all who drew!! and to who didn't I know you will enjoy your dec tags next year!!!

Guilty as charged! I am lucky enough to work from home, and so that I don't lose it completly I'm on the computer am I do my rounds of a few sites. cwt.com is my favorite! The summer it(I) am worse, no school, NO HUNTING, all we do is wait for the draw results so that we can start to plan for the fall (hopefully and GOD willing)!

You had better watch out Lark! while the draw has already been done, the draw GODS still have the power to change things......for the worst! Especailly for getting my hopes and nerves all wound up!

Man I was shocked as to how much the fire had grown in just 1 or 2 days!! The fire seems to be burn to the north-northwest, but that is from what can be seen here from Tucson.

I don't know much, but what I have read is that the .40 works great as long as you keep your shot distance relativly(SP) close. Since it starts off at a lighter weight it tends to shed energy rather quickly. All in all I think it would work great if shot placement and as long as distances were in check, energy wise. It sounds like a cool project! To start something from parts and to finally get to use it would be a unique. I have always had lots of resect for the guys who make there own long bows and take ANY game animal with it.

My hunting partner/cousin went to this shoot a few years ago and he had a blast. He sold me on going but the 4th of July is big in my family and my favorite(only) brother birthday is on the 5th so it has been hard to go as not all of my family are bow hunters. My it seems a long time since I have posted! If it isn't school , a re-model on the bathrooms , work , etc ,etc.... .....etc. I have been reading your guys posts and some great topics lately to help pass the time till draw results are out! Thanks every one for helping me have some sort of routine.

Yes, we always do and we have had some luck with it. We always try the Elk and get drawn once and a blue moon, but hey it's an ELK Tag! The one we have tried for for a while and never ever gotten is the 34A "any antler" tag. We have had LOTS of fun with a Muzzle tag in hand! It creates a whole other batch of problems to take into account. I concider myself a "ready for anything" hunter, but I am embarassed to say how many times I driven to the 3 Points range and forgotten one of the many things needed to shoot them. Like I said LOTS OF FUN!!

Just how many points do you have for this up coming draw? How many did you have when you finally drew what you wanted? How many times have you applied for sheep, buff, bear and still counting or have you already got it.....etc as for me I have 2 for sheep and buff and 5 for lopers right now.
