San Carlos Lake 5/6/13 Storage was at its lowest a couple days ago, all the shine in the distance is mud and 1" deep water. DAN
-
Also SC lake is lower than it was last year when the fish kill occured, water coming out the back is grey from all the mud, should be reduced to a pool by the dam within a few days I would guess, I snapped some photos but due to the power outage wasn't able to upload, the town of SC is in a state of emergency right now with no electricity since 7:45am (5/2) also no water as well, electric possibly returning tomorrow afternoon (5/3). Boni Tank has stayed pretty much the same over the years, can land some 10+lb and even 20+lb cats there if fishing is good, Green Mtn Tank has been dry for a few years now. DAN

Tanks are really starting to pick up, some good bass being caught and cats are always in season happy hunting, try not to fish the tanks with no fish in them LOL DAN

Got out yesterday to the same area for a 3rd time and braved the cold windy weather my bones were frozen solid by the time I was done LOL 2008 drops, I've found this bulls sheds before. And here's the one's from before DAN

Haven't gotten out as much as I would like but here are a few that I picked up, sorry guess I didn't take as many pics as I thought. This next set is 2012 drops, I posted his 2010 drops before as well, still looking good. 2010 drops... DAN

Went back thru an area last Friday to pick up some older horns I left behind first trip but ended up finding a few more Never did collect any that I initially went to get so that'll have to wait for another trip. DAN
-
Awesome that's the kind you hang on to forever. DAN
-
Thx everyone for lookin and comments, hopefully inspired some to try a different route thru a previous area. If you look closely at the bulls eye you'll notice the cloudiness, last time I visited him he didn't mind me passing by at 20 yards, and yes the growth is quick but I'm sure this bull is the one who dropped the brown I found on this trip (290ish), there is a Monster in the area tho so hope to come across his sheds sometime in the future, I've found his sets twice before and he really grew into a nice bull. Good hunting to everyone out there, can't wait to see more sheds! DAN

Looks like some good miles put down and well rewarded Thx for sharing. DAN

Turns out that Josh (jlhcoues) did in fact harvest the buck who dropped that shed, shed scores just under 48" for the one side. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/339/joshhowardcoues.jpg/'> The 8x7 elk shed set scores 368 without an inside spread, I've never seen this bull on the hoof but 36-38" inside spread guestimate looked just about right. ps. didn't mean to crop out your chisel'd face Josh, just wanted to show a close up of the buck LOL DAN
