Awesome! congrats to the hunter on his first archery buck, and the rest of the pics certainly tell us that you have been busy!!! DAN
-
A non-member just harvested the wide buck in the pics i posted from the aerial flight in this post, it was taken on the 2nd to last day during this JAN. coues hunt, the buck was on his 3rd year of decline but still very impressive! DAN
-
Awesome! i like the carrying him out whole part and that sure is one big body!

Looking like the sale will happen the first part of February, there's a commission meeting tomorrow which should produce an official date. DAN
-
No actual sale date has been set as of yet but the sale date is planned to happen sometimes after January 15th, 2012 (after the Jan. coues hunt ends), thats all for now, i'll post the sale date once its determined. DAN

thats a great deer! congrats. DAN

The website is no longer, or hasn't ever really been monitored on a daily basis, its more of a bulletin board where new information is shared once its available. And just to clear things up a little for anyone that doesn't already know, the tag sale that is going to happen will be for ALL tags for the 2012-2013 hunting year which is all hunting activity starting AUGUST 2012 & ending JULY 2013. DAN
-
When the sale happens, ALL tags for the 2012-2013 hunting year will be available, that includes the trapping licenses, everyone will be in line for the 128 coues tags that are available, doors should open around 8am (indian time) and by Noon-ish all the coues tags will be sold out, no word on prices just yet but i assume they will remain the same as last year- $1,200 for A, B, or C in NOV, $1,500 for D in NOV and $2,000 for A,B,C,D tags in JAN, the R-100 tags remain at $3,500. As for all other tags such as Turkey, Elk, Bear, etc, you don't need to be in line the date of the sale, you can simply place your order over the phone but not until the in person sale dies down which should be around early afternoon time. WMAT does not offer coues tags to non-members yet as that is a sacred animal of theirs, by the time they offer it we'll probably all be long gone lol. The first show is in Dallas (Jan 5-8) but no tags are being sold at the shows. DAN

-
Good Job, thanks for sharing the pics, them are some great animals! DAN

This one came from Unit A on the Rez, don't remember the spread but i'd guess 18-20" outside spread, i'll have to check next time i'm in front of it. DAN
-
haha didn't mean to take over the thread but i knew others had to have some wide buck pics, and JIM not only are those wide they're giants!!! care to give the inside spread on them? The buck from the aerial flight is outstanding- having seen the 21 1/2"er live and comparing the two, i'd comfortably say the buck from the flight has to be atleast 21" inside spread, glad everyone enjoys the pics and again hope more people come forward with more wide buck pics!!! DAN
-
Yea its pretty awesome to know that these monsters are roaming the hills! hope more people bust out with their wide coues pics cuz i expected to see a wide coues as well when i clicked. DAN
-
Interesting topic, i like everyone else would love to see pics just for the fact that we enjoy visuals , and for everyone elses viewing pleasure here's a buck we took on the rez that had an 18 1/2" inside spread and a 21 1/2" outside spread. Another buck... we seen this beauty on the aerial flight and i can say its the widest coues i've ever seen in my life and i'm almost certain the 21 1/2" buck would fit inside his rack! DAN

Dewey is still around, he's a busy man with work these days but still around and still just as pumped as the rest of us are about coues, his brother Jason aka "ACE" took a nice 117" buck during our Tribal deer hunt. DAN
