Swing by the shop and I can get my air hammer out and we will get it taken care of for you, I will even give you the employee discount. Truthfully I can't help you on this, I am sure someone knows the answer though.

Amanda sounds like you guys did quite a bit with the windy conditions. Hopefully the data that Jim and his group gets will be useful to the future management of our deer herds.

OSAMA or OBAMA

Jamaro what was said was wrong, but it was dropped and keeps getting brought back up. Kind of like the republicans keep being told to let it drop that Obama was raised by muslims and attended a muslim school, but he isn't a muslim. I am just pointing out facts. -

Lark you are right for the most part, India had the bomb in the early to mid seventies, but compared to what the U.S. and the Russians had they were best to just say they had it. It seems like some Presidents aren't regarded as to what they did until years and years later, for the most part nowdays every thing is party lines the democrats hate and disregard everything that the president and the republicans do and vice versa. I am a conservative, I like guns, I believe in taking care of myself, I get pissed when my money is taxed and used to take care of people that don't give a dang about me all they care about is their welfare and the medical coverage that they get for free, and when I look at the candidates that are thrown out there every few years from the democrats it seems that they are liberal, they are for taking my guns, and they want to take even more of my money to support people just to get votes and piss on the people that are actually paying the freaking taxes. I would vote for a conservative democrat if he or she was better than the republican, but now days conservative democrats don't exist, and if they do they will never be more that a small time politician because the democratic party does not want them. We live in the best country in the world and hopefully this party line bull crap don't ruin it. I could care less what someone calls themselves as far as democrat or republican, I don't give a crap whether it is a man, woman, I don't care about race, but they have to think like me before I will vote for them, the more they think like me and the more issues we agree on the better chance they will get my vote. -
I hope we get this rain. ...EXTRAORDINARY SYSTEM TO IMPACT THE DESERT SOUTHWEST INTO THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND... A DRASTIC CHANGE IN THE WEATHER PATTERN IS UNDERWAY ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST UNITED STATES. THE HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WHICH BROUGHT RECORD-BREAKING TEMPERATURES TO MANY LOCATIONS MONDAY AND TUESDAY HAS WEAKENED AND MOVED EASTWARD. IN ITS WAKE...AN UNUSUALLY STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TAKE OVER TODAY...AND REMAIN THE DOMINANT WEATHER FEATURE HEADING INTO THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. AS THE LOW MOVES IN TODAY...STRONG WESTERLY WINDS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA. GUSTS OF 35 TO 45 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. THIS MAY RESULT IN AREAS OF BLOWING SAND AND DUST ACROSS THE LOWER DESERTS. THE STRONG WINDS WILL BEGIN TO SUBSIDE DURING THE EVENING HOURS..THOUGH BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE NIGHT. HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY WILL BE 10 TO 15 DEGREES COOLER THAN YESTERDAY...AND MORE TYPICAL OF MID-MAY. CLOUDS WILL INCREASE AND TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO COOL THURSDAY AS THE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BEGINS TO WRAP-UP AS IT REMAINS CENTERED NEAR LAS VEGAS. SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY...WITH THE GREATEST CHANCES ALONG THE FOOTHILLS NORTH AND EAST OF PHOENIX. HOWEVER...THE BIGGEST...AND MOST IMPRESSIVE... CHANGES WILL OCCUR THURSDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY. CLOUDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE...AND SHOWERS WITH EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD AND NUMEROUS THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY AS THE STORM SYSTEM CONTINUES TO COOL AND SATURATE. SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS MAY INCLUDE STRONG WINDS AND SMALL HAIL. THOUGH IT MAY SOUND ODD...RECORD RAINFALL IS A POSSIBILITY FRIDAY. HISTORICALLY...MAY AND JUNE ARE THE DRIEST MONTHS OF THE YEAR...AND A STORM SYSTEM SUCH AS THE ONE MOVING IN IS A RARE EVENT. FOR EXAMPLE...BASED ON DAILY WEATHER RECORDS FOR PHOENIX THAT DATE BACK TO 1895...THERE HAS ONLY BEEN ONE YEAR WHEN MEASURABLE RAIN HAS FALLEN ON MAY 23RD /0.10 INCHES IN 1992/. WITH PLENTY OF CLOUDS AND SHOWERS AROUND FRIDAY...TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE LOWER 80S ACROSS SOUTHEAST CALIFORNIA AND SOUTHWEST ARIZONA. ACROSS SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA...INCLUDING PHOENIX...THE GREATER COVERAGE OF CLOUDS AND SHOWERS WILL HOLD TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER TO MID 70S. THE LOWEST THE HIGH TEMPERATURE HAS EVER BEEN ON MAY 23RD IS 70 DEGREES...WHICH WE WILL BE GETTING CLOSE TO. IT IS ALSO OVER 30 DEGREES BELOW AVERAGE...AND NEARLY 40 DEGREES BELOW THE HIGH OF 110 THIS PAST MONDAY. THE SYSTEM WILL BEGIN TO WEAKEN ON SATURDAY...MEANING SHOWERS WILL TAPER OFF AND CLOUDS WILL BEGIN TO THIN. TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO BEGIN TO WARM UP. BY SUNDAY...HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE NEARING 90...WITH NEAR AVERAGE TEMPERATURES LIKELY MEMORIAL DAY.

One is praised and revered and wanted dead or alive, but mostly dead, the other is praised and revered and is a democrat. -
I don't think there have been any members banned aside from the spam types, Amanda would know for sure. Back when anyone could post including guests there were a few that were pretty bad and that is when it was changed so that you had to be a member to post.

bears, but no bucks.
KGAINES replied to DesertBull's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
It looks like when you blow the picture up that the bear is messing with his own leg, it has it's head twisted to the side so it looks weird. -
Got this in an e-mail today and made me think of this post.

ASU Drops Wrestling Program
KGAINES replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Title 9 is part of the problem, they have to have equal scholarships. They got rid of the cheerleaders in all sports, so maybe that justifies it to them. The sports that make the money have to pay for the others that lose money, I wonder at ASU what sports make money, football likely, men's basketball maybe, baseball break even, women's softball and basketball maybe break even, the rest lose money is my guess. -
Sorry I missed the banquet I fully expected to be there, after helping with the set up I headed home, before getting there my jaw started to bother me pretty bad, it had been bothering me a little early in the morning, but was hurting pretty bad now. By the time I got home my face had started to swell, I spent a while trying to locate a dentist that was opened on Sat. and would take a new patient, I found one and got to the office. After some x-rays and a quick check it was decided that I needed a root canal done right then, after that was taken care of the banquet was already started and I wasn't feeling like going anywhere.

ASU Drops Wrestling Program
KGAINES replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
This was pulled from a newsletter. The most difficult decision that can face athletics administrators is to discontinue a sport sponsorship. Regretfully, we have had to make such a decision at Arizona State University. We have done so with the sports of men's swimming, men's tennis, and wrestling. The issue was timed in a manner in which final exams and competitive seasons would be complete. -
ASU Drops Wrestling Program
KGAINES replied to Non-Typical Solutions's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
Haven't read about it yet, but I suspect it is another casualty of title 9. Until football is exempt from that rule there will be more schools losing programs, football and men's basketball at some schools can only bring in enough revenue to support a certain amount of sports, and with the equal scholarships for women's sports it takes quite a few to equal the football team. I wonder how the ASU cheerleader debacle affected this, they drop the cheer squad and then there is an overall program reduction. -
I read the book "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" the story of Aron Ralston and his trip into Blue John Canyon. The book was about what I thought it would be, it was interesting and was well written in my opinion and very easy to read. It took guts and luck to do what he did to get out, but throughout the book he seemed to put himself in bad situations on a fairly regular basis and it finally caught up to him. He is also a big fan of Edward Abbey which should surprise no one.

These are pics of what happened and what he did.

That would be the guy.

God Bless your brother Matty, my prayers are with him and all our troops.

I was behind you when you went through so I hope we both made it, I don't know if they snap the pic when you turn right onto 83rd from union hills. I was in a white F-350 service truck with a very small CW sticker in the window.

I seen a sticker on a red Toyota Tacoma yesterday on Union Hills and 83rd ave.

Congrats on an awesome animal. -
Jim since no one else offered I might be willing to check that entire pond for gators or anything else that might bite. My son is small and fast, plus he isn't thinking of what might get him in the pond, don't think I am a bad parent either I would stand right next to the bank and direct him where to swim or walk, and the rope I would have tied to him would be pretty stout, I could even tie it to the truck to pull him out quickly.

at least the lawyers are makin' money
KGAINES replied to .270's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I think I am going to start protesting the taking of predators from a location where they are stable and moving them to a location where they have ceased to exist. I would bet that most of the money given to these groups is from people that haven't walked a 1/4 mile from their car, the few that do get out and about are stupid when it comes to how WILD animals act around humans. They create videos of how tolerant they are of people, unless of course they get eaten. They complain about meat from slaughterhouses, they complain about range cattle interferring with elk and buffalo, they don't want wild animals hunted, they think man will survive without meat period. What it really comes down to is people with a lot of money trying to force their beliefs on everyone else, they brainwash kids with the fluffy bunny shows, and try to pass laws against the people that don't buy into their beliefs.
