    Washing Machine Repair Tech/Advice

I have found YouTube to be my best friend when it comes to appliance repair. My guess would be the shock(s).
  2. I see lots of evidence just south of I-8 in unit 40. I have also seen some trash left by them north of I-8 as well around the Freeman and Vekol road area in 39. I always figured once they made it to I-8 they had a ride waiting but apparently not always.
  3. I second Mr. Silencer. You can find his site with a quick Google search. I just bought one from him last month as my hearing is not getting any better regardless of ear protection. He simplifies the process for you. He refers you to a website to get the trust completed online ($200). Once completed and notarized by you and your designee then you see him (Mesa), buy the suppressor along with the stamp. Hopefully I will take actual ownership in March or April. Basically you are looking at $400 in fees in excess of the cost of the suppressor. Getting the Trust notarized was my probably my most difficult hurdle.

11 Year Old's Quest For Her First Elk

Best thread of the year. She outlasted your brother in the mental part of the hunt! People, including myself easily forget how mentally and physically taxing a hunt is.

    Big Danner sale!

Did not need a new pair but hey, as the wife says, can't pass up a pair of shoes (or boots) on clearance!

    INSANITY

I would recommend P90X or X3. There are plyometric exercises (jump training) that are not knee friendly though. There are modified moves though that make it easier on the knees though. They typically have 4-5 people working out and one of those people is doing some type of modified move. One of those people will also be doing an extreme type of workout. It is fun to have the goal that by the end of the 90 day program, you will keep pace with one of the crazies. My goal was to keep pace with Dominic or "Frog Boy" in the plyo workout. By about week 9 or so I was finally able to keep up with him.

    INSANITY

I would classify Insanity as more cardio based. You do a lot of ground work though with pushups and other moves. P90X is a total body work out. It helps if you have dumbells. Also a pull up bar is mandatory. P90X involves some cardio, yoga, and lower and upper body workouts. If you want to be in better cardio shape, I would recommend Insanity. If you want to improve you overall body strength, the P90X or P90X3 if time is limited.

    INSANITY

I have enjoyed the Beach Body workouts. I did P90X for 3-4 years to start, then Insanity and now currently doing P90X3. These work for me because I can do them at home and it is like having a trainer in front of me pushing me. I was closer to 40 when I started doing these workouts and I was in impressed with the results. I am on my second month of P90X3 and I like it a lot. Getting closer to 50, the half hour workouts are perfect. They are by no means easy though. When you are not in shape, these workouts will about kill you in the first week or two. That is OK, just hang in there and do the best you can and at the end of the program you will be keeping up with them. I agree with WW. Insanity is tough the first week or two. Once you feel like you are doing good and keeping up, the workout intensifies the second month and it feels like you had not worked out at all... Like previous posts, a good work out program starts in the kitchen if you are truly serious. When I follow the nutrition program, I shred the weight and feel pretty good once I pass the fat burner stage where your carbs are drastically reduced. (The body will really crave carbs if you ever really lower your intake) I also believe that whether you are walking/jogging around the block, going to the gym, Cross Fit, or DVD's as long as you are getting out and sweating you are doing the body good. The more effort you put in the more results you will get out. Am I the only one though that enjoys getting a little fat and happy though after hunting season?

    long obit...see ya soon Wal-boy....

After treading this post, I was walking through the house and all of a sudden I was whistling the Wallace and Ladmo theme music. I had not heard it probably in 30 years but it was as if I heard it yesterday.

    Globe Fur sale

I think you did a great job. That is an African Red Nosed Meerkat, right? Not everyone can get the right shade of red for the nose as well as the Yoda ears but I think you nailed it.

    the nooner....

Enjoy seeing your success. I went solo yesterday as well and I use shooting sticks. I had a yote come in to my far right and while moving my gun with the sticks, the sticks fell and clanked on the rocks and the coyote quickly headed back in the direction he came with me popping off shots all around him. Disappointing but fun none the less.

    My Muzzy Muley

Don, Yes, I believe the units for this muzzleloader hunt are Units 39-42. It starts 12/13 and ends 12/31.

    My Muzzy Muley

After hunting sporadically over the past several weeks with seeing few deer that I wanted to hang my tag on, I was feeling the pressure of getting it done this last weekend. I also felt the pressure once I realized this was a highly sought after tag which I did not realize when I put in for it. I must admit, I am more of an elk hunter than a deer hunter. Fortunately my brother was able to come down for the day and accompany me on my muzzleloader hunt. We have always been on the same hunts but we tend to go our own separate ways. He has not done much desert hunting so it was a new experience for him and I am a novice at best as far as the desert is concerned. Anyways, while heading towards the hunting area I changed my mind and decided to hunt an area that I only scouted via Google Earth. This area was further away and would cause me to get to my hunt area after daylight which I usually can’t stand to do. I see a ridgeline ahead of where I parked and bee lined up to it to do some glassing. My brother quickly sees some deer that were 1.5 miles away. At that distance we were unsure if there were any bucks in the group so we decided to glass some more and hopefully find something closer. So after 20 more minutes of glassing to no avail we decided to trek over to where we saw the deer which went over the ridge. As we approached the ridge we knew there were was a buck in the group due to the aroma they had left in the area. We proceeded to slowly hike and gag up the ridge and once on the other side I saw the group of deer which involved 2 bucks and 2-3 does down on the flats. I was able to get set up on my shooting sticks and my brother ranged it at 220 yards. I have practiced at 200 yards with my Remington 700 MLS so I was pretty confident with my shot. My brother identified the larger of the two buck and I sent my Dead Center on its way. I was not sure if I hit it due to the cloud of 209 smoke but my brother had seen it stumble into some brush and it was later found that I center punched the heart.

The Muzzy hunt is almost here!

I have this hunt as well and looking forward to seeing your deer.
  17. I bought my first container about 3 years ago. I was drawn for this years Elk hunt and started shooting it again in preparation with no ill effects. I actually bought a new container and afraid to use it as I am afraid it will not shoot as well as my old batch. Blackhorn is not hyrdroscopic like pyrodex or even 777 so it should be fine based on my personal experience.

    Rhondas butcher shop

This has been a common post over the years. You will get 2-3 that will say they had no problem and would use them again. One or two that were not satisfied and 10 posts that will say use Casey's and forget about it.

    Licence for Mexico Fishing

Technically from a boat, you need one. I really doubt you would ever get checked being on a yak. I have been running a boat there for years and I have not once been checked but I always have a license. I know a few that have been checked near the mouth of the marina and the navy was more interested in seeing a boat registration and ID's than a fishing license. It can be a hassle getting one in Rocky Point. You can purchase an annual, weekly or day license. I purchased my license last month here; http://apps.bcs.gob.mx/finanzas/fina...nmar/index.php It's in Spanish but easy enough to figure out. Pay online and print it out in less then 5 minutes!

    labor day SeaTrout ChollaBay

Nice Corvina! Labor day was one muggy weekend down there. I headed out on my boat fishing the reefs with my son, I never sweated so much in my life.

    Heating you Tent/Camper

I use the Mr. Buddy in a tent all the time. Being in the insurance business, if it killed people, they would not be in business today.

    elk load

Well, what works for one gun may not work that great for another when it comes to the world of muzzleloaders. Try getting a container of Buckhorn 209 powder and try various powders loads from 100 grns on up. Try increments of 10 grns to see what works for you. Also, give other bullets a try as well if your bullets are not grouping to your satisfaction. I am a big fan of Precision Rifle Dead Center Bullets. I used to go the pelletized powder route for many years until this last ML elk hunt of mine. I thought I would switch things up a little and try loose powder. Best decision I made as my groups shrunk significantly.
