I dont know about game management and all that but I miss the good days when I was a kid. We always tryed to hunt 23 and 27 in December because my Dad has always had to work long hours during the early hunts. It will be nice to have a good hunt to put in with him again. I dont have that work schedule but my 2 brother now joined my Dad so unless i want to hunt the border units every year I have to go alone or with inlaws.....

TJ My dad and brother just drew unit 10 Rifle bull back to back as well. I was on their ticket this time!!

I should have a November Rifle Bull tag in 8, 9, or 10 with my Brother Dad and Grandpa. My dad got hit for AZ and Colorado Elk too!! he made the mistake of having the hunts at the same time though. So he might have to choose if he doesent shoot one hear early.

We spotted this hawk in a tree right by the road and it didn't fly away after i stopped... It flew when i tryed to get even closer but i was ready.

Yeah awsome. I wish i was able to spend more time in elk country when i was a kid. lots of deer hunting but not elk.

Coconino is changing their laws/rules soon and closing some roads to quads. I dont get why they bother if they cant even keep quads on the roads.

We went in 6A in the southernpart of the rattlesnake quiet area just west of stoneman lake. The bulls were there for hunting season Saw a few recent skulls with antlers cut out but they are not there right now. Maybe they are in the flats or further north... If i knew i would have me that Brown shed.

Ok so I am going shed hunting in the morning bright and early. I am leaving from East Mesa. Anyone want to share a ride? I am on a quest to find my first brown shed... you could also message me your secret location.. hahaha. but really my spots havent been working out.

Sounds like your day was better than mine. we had to come home early because my friend pulled his groin. We hikes 4 hours, 2 hours at a slow pace in good country but no sheds. NO people tracks but way less sign than i expected. and I hate hiking 4 miles and finding a road when you get in. Still on my quest for my first brown shed.....

good job!!! I still need my first brown shed ever... Maybe on Friday. 4th day out has got to be my lucky one....

Just wanted to know if the snow was to deep to shed hunt around Payson/Young?

well thanks for the info. I am going up to try and find some sheds in the morning and if its good ill spend the night. if i get stuck ill spend the night too... hahaha.... i hope i dont get stuck knock on wood..

We were our on stonman lake road and put about 15 miles on our boots and only found 3 old dink sheds...
