Agreed with Rock30- go farther south. Coues are spread out in the southern portion. The nastier the country the more likely you'll find bucks. That was the story when I helped friends in that unit.

Now thats a real good story!!! Congrats to all My son is 6 and is still working on his quiet hunting voice. One time he stayed behind with grandma while I stalked a herd of pigs (archery), I was a good 800 yards away and I could hear HI DADDY I CAN SEE YOU- he was watching me through the 15's. He spooked the pigs but they ran at me, swack and done!

I had Falken on my toyota tacoma when I first purchased it (came with the truck), had the street tire version, still took it off road and it lasted bout 35,000 miles for me til the threads were all gone. I did have alignment and strut issue for a short time so that increased tire wear. It was a good tire for the price, never got cut up on sharp rocks which I thought was going to happen.

I'm screwed with snakes- I'm deaf and can't hear a rattler- I'll let you guys know about my personal experience after I finally get bit. One time was out scouting with ndaniels on here, he heard a rattler and my foot was on it's head. Other times I walked past a rattler rattling and I could hear my "hearing" friends behind me hollering and cursing. I'm due sometimes

I have a viper scope- 4-16x50mm

Barnes triple shock shoot well- I have used them on coues and on my 300 win mag at one time was the most accurate bullet I could reload for that particular rifle.

Great buck- based on body size and frame he's hovering around the good ole 100 inch mark. Ground check him in Nov!
