I love this thread.. rubs have always fascinated me. This time of year Im on the lookout for "shed" rubs! Seems like some bulls will go nuts trying to get those things off their head.. This one of the few sheds Ive actually found under one of those rubs.. What are the odds it came off his head and stuck in the ground like that?? The rub is obviously not the brown branch on the ground but look at the size of that branch he snapped to the right!

Haha. Lots of work bro. Was out there Thursday and Friday, place is nuts. I'm actually sick right now, I think it's cuz I wasn't wearing a shirt when It was 50 degrees at the concerts. Binged hard yesterday though, ate an entire 1.5qt of strawberry cheesecake ice cream in sandwich form with sugar cookies. Along with 3 steins of beer whole watching the masters. Late archery elk hunt, shot a bull quartering away from 55 yards with a NAP Bloodrunner. Good shot placement, arrow didn't penetrate more than 6''. Gave him plenty of time, but never recovered him after bumping him out of his bed after following tracks/little blood for a long ways.. Same hunt, two blade rage, arrow bounced as I drew back and deployed the two blade rage. Needless to say, I was wishing a had a whisker biscuit and a fixed blade after that.

Wow, hats off to A3 for keeping it "in house" on two giants. Two stud bulls, would love to see them in person!
