100 grn or 80gr on 257wby? I think I'm going to try and load RL 25 -
I've hunted twice with my now older boys and have a tag this year for my 11 yr old Don't stress it to much they speak the truth when they say the deer are all over up there. So are the road hunters and with double the tags it could be interesting I'd spend more time getting your son comfortable shooting then scouting. Then just get off a road a bit and sit tight Good luck and check out the camp it's good people

So I want to try the OCW Dan newberry charge weight shooting technique for load development. My issue is in order to do it correctly and have a cool barrel I will be at the range for 10 hrs Has anyone used a cool towel or any other method to cool a barrel quicker. These are standard non fluted sports #2 contour Shooting 270 win and 30-06 My conern with a towel is that the barrel will cool unevenly and make the harmonics even crazier

So I have a decent spot but I think I would get better pics if my camera faced south. I would capture my spring and trails leading better. I've heard that facing into the sun makes for bad pics. Should I not try it or is there a way shade the camera so the sun doesn't effect it? It's down in a canyon so it maybe less affected by th e sun

Yea it's pretty deep in this canyon. I suspect it will ok. At least worth a try. Thx for card and Google suggestions.

Not to pirate this thread but I tried the fired case with a bullet somewhat tight in the neck method. And it was a pretty random result. I was not measuring to the olgive so maybe that's it But here are my readings. Any thoughts on thy so varied 270 win 130 gr hornady sp 3.36.00 3.31.95 3.35.80 3.31.80 3.31.60 3.32.40 3.32.05 3.31.90 I'm either a horrible measure expert or I just need to spend the $30 on the hornady oal and a ogive tool. -
I guess I'm lucky the bear didn't destroy my camera becuase the camera was all moved around and ended up pointing almost straight down. But I have two separate Bears. One seems sort light brown and one is jet black. Only one decent pic and the others are of the Bears rubbing on the camera. Does the elk look like he is just about to pop spikes?

Might not be long range bit I was at cabelas today and they had a leupold vx-3L 4.4-14x50 normal duplex for $479. Down from $799 and I used my 10% card I got in the mail this week for at price $431. Smokin deal. They have one left The non L model with a 30 mm tube also rang at $479. But I like the v cut on that 50 mm for a nice med ring fit on my rifle. Just an fyi on a good deal

Check out bass pro Oculus. I have a pair of 8x42 for beating around and find myself using often. I was shocked

Found this spot loaded with bear sign two weeks ago and set a camera just checked it and elk. Cool but darn One decent 5x5. Maybe I can shoot him next year

Magnum mike did a action bed and barrel float. Scope mount. He took forever but was moving locations so that hurt He should me some muzzle breaks he had just done. I could not tell the point where the break started on the barrel. Excellent We started talking long ranch and he quickly advanced beyond my ability to keep up

So I understand that this is me putting to much lib on. Correct? So I took the die apart and cleaned it up. So my question is should I spray lube into the case. Because when just applying spray to outside the press stick considerably when resizing. To point I was nervous I'd get one stuck I got a case lube instead of spray but I must have used to much even though I thought I was light. Dented worse. Pic is the worst one. Others are lighter Any magic formula. Or just keep playing with it? Can i use these dented cases while I'm working up new loads or will they have a negative effect? Thanks

Thanks
