  1. I used the 130 gr sst on my deer last year, shot hit at 425 with the 270 ran ten yards, rear up like a horse and fell over. When I butcher him the bullets destroyed his both his lungs and I found three pieces logged against the skin on the opposite side. So no pass through but went off like grenade inside. I will keep using em for deer but for elk the 140 gr accubonds are my choice.

  2. I bought this deni meat grinder, the 3500 from Amazon about two years ago for a 100 bucks and it has worked great for me. I make a lot of sauage, snack sticks and jerky so most of the animal I grind up save a few roast and backstraps. I have ran three deer, seven pigs (my buddies give em to me) and the hind quarter of an elk through it just fine. It grinds pretty fast, for being a little one and since its only me doing all the grinding the it works for me. I lost the cutting blades twice now, i clean and lose em, and I called up Deni and they sent me new one for 12 bucks I think, so even the customer service is pretty good.

  3. I was reading this posting from the Game and Fish website and I am confused on this new baiting law. It says we can't bait with edible or ingestible substance but then says salt or salt based material isn't bait. So can you lay out a salt to bring game in and then hunt off of the lick as long as it is just salt?

Here is the link to the website. http://azgfd.net/artman/publish/NewsMedia/Amended-Article-3-rules-affecting-hunters-take-effect-July-1.shtml
