As I recall redbeard you use motion cameras all the time to locate animals to try and arrow......How do you justify yourself???

I have been working with my GSP and he is doin pretty good at finding antlers that I plant. I have not had him out looking since I have started training him. I started in the back yard. My dog as well likes to chew and play with antlers so I figured what the heck. I had read about it......I started him out by making him stay and putting the antler across the yard so he could see it. then tell him to "Get The ANTLER!". He was quick at that so then I started hiding them in the yard, under stuff behind stuff, he got pretty good at knowing my favorite hiding places. I give him a treat everytime he brings one back and praise him really good.....now I take him for walks down this wash by my house. I start out having him stay and place an antler out there so he can see it and have him bring it back just to get him in the right mind set. Then away we go......He does pretty good until he comes across a bird HAHAHAHA When I plant the antlers I throw them as far as I can....when I was training him on birds I noticed he would follow my scent trail as someone else had mentioned.....Needless to say I am pretty excited to get him out this year..... Best day numbers wise for me has been 5, two sets and one single, Littlebear also found one that day bringing the total to 6! best brownie day was a 100 inch set, little bear found a single off about the same size buck, and we found two other white antlers, another 6 day, three brownies.......Best rack day little bear and I each found two....four racks all together! Those are the best days I have had. Becker

My wife managed to wrap up our rifle season with another nice buck....She topped her buck from last year by a few 8ths....This one grosses right at 102.....enjoy

This last week I was hunting with a family friend......He is an older gentlman, not able to get back in too far.....It was a crappy windy day so we went to a little honey hole just off the road......you can barely fit two cars in the pull out......About and hour or so in two guys pull up and squeez their truck in next to ours and proceed to hike up the opposite hill we were glassing.....I whistled at them and waved my arms because we had found a little buck in there and thought there might be some more.....It didn't help, they looked at us through their binos and kept hiking.....But thats the name of the game.....Just left them a note with a number to one of those sex chat lines and told them to call me cause I was interested to chat with them about the spot......BWHahahahaha

Well, Here is my mom's monster buck.....117 2/8 gross, 114 NET !!!!!!! Well, here is my buck. Littlebear and I shot him dark thirty in the evening opening day. He grosses 103 and 3/8.....My second best coues buck and another four point to boot.

I think this is an example of why game and fish is shifting to OPPORTUNITY. Lots of people are so focussed on the draw and hunting two or three of the big game animals. There are so many opportunities to hunt that go over looked. As mentioned rabbit, coyote, shed hunting, using the motion camera to get pics of different species, doing some early early season scouting into places you have always wanted to look but haven't. The list goes on and on. Don't let your HUNTING be limited to one week of the year. There is much more out there to do than you think!!!

Got pretty beat up carrying out littlebear's and crazy$coues's deer over the last couple days. Had to recover by finding these.

Actually......The shed is off probably a 105" coues depending on what kind of spread you give it spread. The rack is probably 90-93", I didn't score it. I would take the shed over the rack
