Time for new tires on my Ram 2500 diesel. Towing a 30' fifth wheel, but also off-roading when I hunt. I've run the "pseudo-offroad" tires that came on the truck and got stuck pretty easily in mud. Getting rid of the current BFG KOs after maybe 35k miles and going with something else...any good recommendations for diesel towing and off-road? I know there's nothing for best of both worlds, but lots of choices out there that look good. A couple I've been reading about...Nitto Terra or Ridge Grapplers, Toyo AT or RT, Pro-Comp or Cooper AT3. Thoughts or experience with these on a diesel appreciated.

Nice review. Thanks for sharing.

he was a little taller when I met him...

Beautiful ram and great story. Huge congrats!

Glad to see this vote of confidence for AT2...based on your previous thread, this thread, and a couple on other forums I decided to go with the AT2 as well...
-
Not exactly what you asked, but I really like my Sig 2200.
-
I had the complete opposite on mine. When I was single i rotated every 2000-3000 miles and got something like 55k out of my first set.How about now that youre rotating them on a more realistic schedule? Or did you sell the Ram? I cant remember...

Thanks. Any youd recommend that worked well for you?

Thanks John, we had a great time and everything went really well, just trying to iron out my rookie bugs. Would replacing that switch make it less touchy? I always hate bothering you with my questions but like a trooper you responded anyway!!! Thanks....Maybe replace the thermostat? I had a similar thermostat on my trailer but it had a separate on/off switch on the bottom. Dont know how much a new thermostat would cost or even if available.

Man thats tempting. Timing just isnt right for me with the holidays and new trailer I just bought. Need a safe upgrade soon though.
-
Good luck brother. Let me know how it goes...wish I could come help out.

I tried to give away mine from ‘11 and no takers...maybe someone wants yours. Free bump

Cruising some Dodge forums but thought I would ask here too. What are the 3 plates under the leaf springs on my 2011 Ram 2500 diesel. Lift kit? Overload? Stock? RV service guy who installed my fifth wheel hitch says he has never seen it and the rear end has zero squat under the trailer. That might be good, but keeps trailer from riding level. Any ideas? I know this was a ranch truck before I bought it. Of course the pics are sideways thanks to my phone.

I had the non-HD vipers and upgraded to HD kaibabs. I much prefer the kaibabs if theyre in your budget. Better clarity, light, and overall field of view. They dont seem as narrow as the vipers either.

If youre on Facebook theres one in the Huntin Store that looked like a good deal.

This. It can be cold early and late but warm up really quick when the sun hits. -
Vacation ideas for January hunt?
bigorange replied to Speedy's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Definitely look at the Portal area, especially if you’re interested in the Chiricahuas. It’s not exactly warm in January but warmer than your tundra. -
Nice! Let us know how you like it. Not sure I’d have a Traeger if I hadn’t gotten a really good deal on it...definitely spendy.
-
I should have added...to answer the specific questions posed I like that the Traeger is super easy to use and doesn’t have to be babied. Not quite “set it and forget it” but pretty close. You do have to keep an eye on the pellets but so far very easy and everything I’ve done on it has been great. Burgers and veggies on it last night for dinner...it’s not just a smoker.
-
One more vote for pellet...Traeger specifically. I’m still learning all it can do, but love it so far.
-
Nice! Any special Traeger method used? Love mine but still exploring some of the methods.

Nice old school mossyoak treestand...still one of my favorite patterns.
