Awesome shop...very happy with the job they did on my 2015 antelope and agree 100% on kindness, helpfulness, and communication. I even got a follow-up call over a concern (Bud's not mine) over how the mount might hang at my house and did everything he could to make sure it was perfect.

I gave up on finding a local class or field day in Tucson and took my son to the Youth Outdoors Unlimited hunter ed camp. He had a blast and I think learned a lot more than he would have in a shorter class or online. I think it really boils down to whether all 4 want to hunt together. Or you could go 2 and 2 and put in for different hunt dates if you could all 4 do both hunts if both groups draw. In our group it almost always happens that the one guy who puts in alone draws. No matter the points. Last year he hunted mostly alone too due to schedules of everyone else.

We camped at Winn Campground near Greer over Memorial Day a couple years back. Nice place, not terribly crowded, and a short drive to several different lakes. Cold and snowy part of that trip...gotta love mountain weather!

Haven't seen anything about it, but haven't been looking either...I wonder how the self-checkout lanes at groceries and other stores have affected clerk numbers...

How do the meindl fit compared to pronghorns? I'm guessing similar since you have 10.5 in both. My pronghorns are 11.

Brand loyalty is everywhere...optics, bows, guns, trucks, and all of it doesn't matter...we're on the same team. But yeah I guess it's even like picking a sports team and gives a sense of identity or team to "join." I have a tendency to wear what's cheapest...sometimes to a fault. And personally I end up more loyal to certain patterns than brands. I guess it's just something to do. LoL

No real basis for comparison between the two units, but I really enjoyed the early hunt in 12AW. I can't wait to get up there again.

Depending on what broadhead you shoot, I've heard several failure reports of mechanicals with the Easton Axis splitting out the side of the arrow. Including from Mr Swhacker himself Rick who told me to not shoot Swhackers with them. Part of the reason I'm switching myself...plus an urge to try something new. LoL
