Yep...I was thinking if it's scoreable, then report it to AZGFD...but sounds like AZGFD doesn't count it at their checking station. Guess I've got a while to think about it before the 2016 OTC deer survey comes out...

This makes the most sense, and not sure why I didn't think about that except my Kaibab buck didn't have eye guards so didn't occur to me. Unless of course it depends on the opinion/habit of whoever is working the check station that day...

PSE outdoor range may not be as windy since it's in between buildings...not sure. Tough spot...that range at the fairgrounds is windy even on a calm day. A warehouse or somewhere else indoors would be ideal...even with a sight tape I wouldn't personally want to hunt without actually shooting those distances and knowing that sights are on and I'm capable of the shot. My bow is a lot more accurate than I am.

If you were scoring one would you also not count them? I didn't think about that until after I posted, but I guess the reporting logic should be the same as the scoring logic...but I know things aren't always logical.

Ditto on what's been said here. I like seeing classifieds in the new posts feed. If there's a filter available to not include them, then that gives those folks and option...

It is already there , That is why I did not see any issue with it the way it was ... if people do not want to see classifieds or any forum for that matter they could customize it for the forums they want to update through new content and save it ... leaving out the ones they don't want to see such as classifieds. Nice...so it wasn't broke in the first place. I still don't like the fix. Haven't looked at a classified ad since I posted that comment. I just don't cruise much more than the new topics list.

I think a way to filter new content would have been a better idea...so that folks who don't want to see classifieds can turn that off. I skim the new content maybe once a day and like seeing whatever's moving on the classifieds. I'm sure I've missed some deals too.

Any javelina camps planned for the southern units this spring? Have a couple of newbie friends that might like to go if possible...looking at leftover tags and wanted to steer them in the right direction. I don't see anything in the regs except the CWT Women's HAM camp. Thanks!

Swivelhead is spot on. You could go 3.5" on the 870 and shells if you want to pound your shoulder, but not necessary. Don't count on them talking the 2nd hunt...all depends on lots of factors. I've hunted that hunt and never heard a bird. Or only hear them on the roost and silence once they get down. Or hopefully they'll be talking for you. Good luck and be safe!

Nice! Saw the AZGFD email saying results would be on there earlier...nothing over the weekend, but I can see mine now. Finally drew the earlier turkey hunt...now if the snow doesn't push them later this year.

Depends on where hunting and style...lots of glassing I pack kaibabs and wear 10s on my chest. Elevation will affect things a lot as far as temps...and in Jan even at lower elevations it can be chilly early and late depending on wind. 30 degree temp swings are possible in southern AZ. I'd throw in some light rain gear. As far as clothing that looks similar to what I usually wear in Jan down south. No mention of knives, compass/GPS/maps,or any other hunting gear besides clothes and glass.

Stored mine for a couple years in crates the moving company built for them...then they wrapped the entire crate in plastic wrap. Don't know if this is proper storage, but they seem fine.
