    WTB Cheap trail cams

Sorry I didn't get home until about 10 last night. I'm around today if you still want them...on SE side of Tucson.

    WTB Cheap trail cams

I have a couple in Tucson I’d sell cheap. I never use them anymore. Won’t be home until late this evening.

    No elk pics? Stories

Not really my place to share pics, but I helped my buddy and his son in 5BN the past couple days. His son killed a nice 6x6 on water Sat evening and we got into some good bugling action Mon and Tue mornings. Rut seems to be picking up but “not quite there” yet in the areas we were hunting.

    September is Prostrate Awareness Month

Don’t go for the second opinion either.

    September is Prostrate Awareness Month

It appears that now 50 is average risk, 45 high risk, 40 higher risk. https://www.cancer.org/cancer/types/prostate-cancer/detection-diagnosis-staging/acs-recommendations.html

Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear of his passing, but nice to see him remembered.

    Liberty Safe

I'd think it would be appropriate with a specific warrant or an order from a judge saying to open the safe...same as the original situation.

    September is Prostrate Awareness Month

And just to be picky...it's prostate. Prostrate is different...although you may be prostrate when your prostate is checked.

    September is Prostrate Awareness Month

Funny when I asked about it thinking it was 45 my doc said 50...of course that's a govt doc too so maybe some cost-saving measure there. Agree with not letting it go though...friend in his 50s had trouble peeing as his only symptom and ended up with pretty advanced cancer.that luckily has responded to surgery and treatment.

MSR Whisperlite Stove, Bottle, and fuel

More memories…I have that same cookset too! my first experience with the whisperlite was 30-ish years ago in scouts. We pretty much used all Coleman gear…Peak 1 and similar stoves. One of the gearhead experts whipped out a whisperlite on a multi day backpacking trip…it was lighter and more packable than what most of us were using and blew my young impressionable mind. LoL

    Hunting with contact lenses

+10 I always carry extras…and also rotate them. I had an extra get a tiny hole in the package and dried out without me noticing.

    Hunting with contact lenses

Same as others have said…I think glassing is easier with contacts but my eyes get irritated/dry after a long day glassing, especially if it’s windy (wife and kids laugh at me coming home with red eyes “sure you were out hunting all day” LoL) I keep rewetting drops and also Opcon to use after I take contacts out to help the irritation. I prefer that over Visine and others. Agree 100% on the hand washing too.

Looking for gun shops down south

I know a couple of organizations use Tucson Sportsmans for raffle prize pickups. Might be worth checking with them. A couple of local places I've heard of doing transfers for folks are The Hub on Alvernon and Trail Boss Outfitters in Vail. Vail is way out east, but maybe convenient depending on the winner's location.
