I'm annoyed that now I have to invest in a plastic sandwich bag to protect paper permit while afield...and then use the same bag and attach it to the animal. What if I'm planning on putting a sandwich in that bag?!?

Bought the 15x50 non-HD first...made the mistake of trying to carry them. A little heavy around the neck and couldn't freehand very well. Then added some cheaper 10x42 around my neck and now the 15x50 only on a tripod. Works well for me. If only buying one, then Sawbuck is right...consider the 12x50. One of my buddies has the 12x50 and uses them both freehand and on a support. Almost as good as the 15s as far as magnification, wider FOV and brighter.
