    Bison reduction project

I hadn’t seen the part about “volunteer support team” I’m taking a CWT crew to rival Jimmy John!

    Silent success

That’s cool how that worked out and really cool on the call! Had you called earlier from that same spot? Listening to a turkey expert on a podcast recently...he’d done a lot of research tracking turkeys and their daily activities. He described them as having an amazing internal awareness of location almost like a GPS and would go directly to exact locations of hunter’s calls sometimes hours later after apparent wandering.

Gold bricks...folks are paying it right now so the market bears it.

    Bison reduction project

Doubt they turn anyone loose...this will be a circus with park rangers pointing out which bison to shoot and lots of observation/supervision.

    Taurus TX22 FS. Sold

Not familiar with this one. What makes it the most advanced on the market? Handgun of the year must mean something good.

Any turkey ammo for sale in town?

That’s cool. When it works it works and they come in like a rutting bull. Almost as much fun. LoL

My WILD 12AW Late Hunt Trip

Thanks. I couldn’t remember if age sampling was part of that or not...been a few years. I need to look back and see if info on my buck is listed...

My WILD 12AW Late Hunt Trip

How was the aging done? Did you voluntarily send anything in or was it part of the Strip check-in process?

Any turkey ammo for sale in town?

A fattie on 4/20 is appropriate. I’ve got a couple of boxes of 12 and 20 you can have but not in the valley anytime soon. If you strike out elsewhere we can make it happen.

Trade you for some 6.5CM and a flattie...
  19. Is that a gobble shaker or an owl call? Looks like my owl call I used this weekend...

    Bumper hitch vs 5th Wheel

I don’t know about their toy haulers but I’m on my 2nd Forest River trailer and I’ll never buy another one. I’ve heard good stuff about Genesis and Grand Design toy haulers.

    Bumper hitch vs 5th Wheel

I’ve had both as well...overall towing and family use I prefer fifth wheel, but you do lose use of most of your bed. I actually think hooking up the 5th wheel is a lot easier than BP. For me at least I also have a short bed and have no issues with hitting the cab...a slider hitch helps, but even without using a slider I’ve only ever bumped the cab once in a near Jack-knife on very uneven ground. I was dumb and forgot to engage the slider that time. My hitch is heavy and takes 2 people to remove from the bed. I’d give the Anderson Ultimate as pictured above a good look if you decide on a 5th wheel. I know a couple of folks with those hitches and they love them. Very easy to take in and out and tow great my biggest complaint with 5th wheels is the newer 4wd trucks seem to be getting higher. Even with a bit of a lift on the trailer mine doesn’t ride level on my 2011 Ram. I’ve read that the newer truck models are an inch or two higher than mine, so it would be even worse.

    spring turkey 2021 status?

Better than us. We saw 3 toms and 2 hens off the road. Had a few gobbling on Sat-Sun but not responsive and on the move. Adding 3 kids to the mix does make things a little more difficult. LoL
