There can be no way that the ADA will support the bill. It is history, so we move on. We pay dues to the AZSFWC... a different organization totally. As a group of board members, there is no way that I can speak for them. Amanda is on the board and she has tried to tell everyone that we did not see the bill, therefore there was no vote. I am in no way arguing for the bill, merely trying to correct inaccuracies, and support the past work of Representative Weiers. Most of you who are commenting have not ever gone down to the legislature to comment on anything, and most have not worked a banquet or project. Everyone is entitled to an opinion... and I have not expressed mine at all. Support of Rep Weiers is all I am attempting to accomplish. You are attempting to remove him from office based on the temerity that he had to sponsor the bill. I am attempting to support a legislator who I have fought with on numerous occasions, but also respect that he gathered a consensus and made things happen. The AZGFD thinks highly of him, and you want him removed. I want him to stay. That is the purpose of these sites... express yourself. First I was to ignorant to understand how this scheme would help wildlife, now you question what I have done, ie; volunteering for projects, going to the legislature, going to G&F meetings or helping with banquets??? You really want to go there? SERIOUSLY???

So the ADA will not come out against the bill, They pay dues to AZSFW which helps support Suzane lobbying this bill, and ADA board member is on this site arguing for the bill and for the AZSFW... So stop the dancing, the ADA supports the bill and AZSFW's tag grab. Thanks for clarifying that PBJ.

I got lucky and drew a depredation tag a few years back and killed a big bull.

So is the ADA going to take stance on this bill? They are either for it or against it. And is the ADA going to keep bowing down to AZSFW and paying them dues? If we want to cut AZSFW out, we need to cut their cash flow, starting with all of the groups that are members of AZSFW... So let's get board members of all the wildlife groups to come on here and let us know where their group stands on this.

Dammit Lark, I was trying to run on the treadmill and read the newest post, when I read your last post. Well needless to say, I almost had a serious accident, luckily I was able to hit the stop button just as I was flying off the back of the treadmill!!!! BAGHDAD BOB???? SERIOUSLY? That has to be one of the funniest things I have ever read...

Hats off to Rep. Weiers for doing the right thing. Let's just hope next time he is smarter and better informed and doesn't have the Wool pulled over his eyes by a supposedly pro hunting group. Also my hat is off to all of you dedicated hunters who were not to busy to speak your mind, through posts, emails, and phone calls to get this bill quashed! This just goes to show you that when hunters unite together against an issue, we can accomplish good things. Let's just hope the boys at AZSWF have learned their lesson.

Rep Weiers did remove the bill, but he is scheduled for surgery in a few days. I will ask that he respond, but I would suggest a modicum of respect for him. Trashing me is fine, but Jerry is a really good guy who has guaranteed a lot of good things for sportsmen. I would hope that he could get a measure of respect and let him explain his position on the bill. I had shoulder surgery last year and was back at work the next day...

What happened to this post? It's no longer in the thread. I was asked to remove it and since I posted it without Chris' permission I obliged and removed it. I think his partners at Elk Hunter Magazine didn't agree with his email and thought he should not have signed it as if it came from the magazine. It apparently doesn't represent the opinion of the majority of partners in the magazine. Sounds like its getting HOT in the the kitchen...

From some of the e-mails I got back from other representatives, they were surprised by the uproar over this legislation, as they had been told ALL sportsmen in AZ supported it. Thankfully, they recieved hundreds of emails against the bill and none as of today in favor of it. Im not holding my breath on these financial records, but if they are anything like your dancing skills, they will be all over the place...

The pain in my back from the knife Weiers has put there is still hurting... Weiers is not the only fish in the sea... and neither is AZSFW! BonusPointJohn, any luck tracking down those finaincial records, or board member names yet? Or are you too busy working on your dance moves?

I remember back when USO was trying to get landowner tags here, I helped pass out over 1000 boycott USO bumper stickers, and 250 boycott USO t-shirts. I might just have to get some "Boycott AZSFW" stuff printed up... Just last year, I was in NM, near Reserve, and saw one of the bumper stickers stuck to the back of a forest service sign... Damm those things last a long time.
